ing with Jesus. Experiencing God: We want
them to KNOW God – who He is and what He has done. We talk about His attributes and char-acter. We see how He interacts
with His people throughout the Bi-ble. Using the Bi-ble: CrestKIDS is equipping kids with tools that they can use throughout
their lives. We want to help them get familiar with the Bi-ble, practice ways to study it on their own, and bury it in their hearts through memory verses.
Walking with Jesus: We work together to help kids figure out how does what I’m learning im-pact me and my life? And we look for opportunities for kids to practice being Doers of the Word. We also spend time in prayer.
CrestKIDS will kick-off on Wednesday, September 5 from 6:30—8:00 p.m. Our adult and stu-dent Bible studies will be at the same time, so get plugged in as a family! CrestKIDS is still looking for a few leaders, specifically someone to lead the craft team and a meal ministry, so let Nicole Webber know if you can help! In His love,
Pastor Chuck
Beloved, As we begin a “new ministry year” with our children, student and adult ministries, we encour-age you to plug into a small group on Sunday morning and/or Wednesday even-ing. It is really where you make the best connec-tions for growth and ministry in the church (see page 2 for all the options). I want to highlight our chil-dren’s ministry, CrestKIDS. The ministry leaders have a heart to see a growing outreach to children and families in our community on Wednesdays, while deepening the faith of our own children, who at-tend Bible study on Sundays. So, a new approach will be to begin on Wednesdays and carry the Bible lesson into Sunday mornings with a deeper examination of the Bible story. Nicole Webber writes: The goal is to create a positive experience for kids at church. The games, the snacks, the fun – have a purpose. The next step is building relation-ships, being a friend and letting the kids experience God’s love through us. Our ultimate goal is to make dis-ciples, kids who know God and fol-low Him. The CrestKIDs motto is Experi-encing God, Using the Bible, Walk-

Adult Bible Classes On Sundays
Sunday Morning (9:00 a.m.)
Welcome Home: Connecting and Engaging People in Your Church— This six-week study looks at several principles from Scripture that move the church family to be a group that clearly and authentically communicates, “We’re glad you’re here.” Young Adults (Mayflower Office), Senior Adults (Fellowship Hall)
Boring: Finding an Extraor-dinary God in an Ordinary Life—While many think the way to significance is paved with the big, the showy and the grand. This six-week study asks, “What if God wants you to find significance and mean-ing inside the ordinary?” Adults (Room 104)
Galatians; James—Through these two books, the tension of grace and works are ad-dressed head on. While some see these books as contradic-tory, the study will help you understand the complimen-tary teaching of salvation from two view points. Adults (Room 109)
Creating an Intimate Mar-riage— Don’t settle for medio-
cre when it comes to satisfac-tion in marriage. This study will help take you back to the life you dreamed of when you said your vows and experi-ence the joys of an awe-filled marriage (Room 105)

Crest Baptist Church is… Committed to Christ—Connecting with Each Other— Commissioned to Serve Our Community and World
We had our kickoff cele-bration and were amazed by how many students God sent our way.
They were intrigued by 9 square in the air and free food. We got information from many of them, so please pray that as we reach out to them, God will work in their hearts to draw them into rela-tionship with him whether it's through Light Co or another ministry. We're looking for-ward to seeing what God will do on campus this semester!
Pastor Neal
In July, we took 4 students to Resonate Youth Conference in Des Moines. It was a great opportunity not just for the stu-dents to spend a week focused on their walk with God, but it also gave them op-portunities to serve the local community in Des Moines. We are already in the process of planning next year's Resonate,
which will land on July 8-12, 2019 and allow students who are involved in 4-H/FFA/
County Fair ac-tivities to attend. Our fall kick-off will be on Wednesday, Au-gust 29, with all students 6th-
12th grade. Join us for pizza, pop and 9 Square in the Air, and invite a friend!
