Carowinds 2019:

We are planning to go to Carowinds on

most Mondays throughout the summer as

we did last year. We typically leave at

10:00 a.m. and will return to the church by

5 p.m. We will be getting season passes for

all those who are interested. The price of a season pass through the church is

$60.00 and is due by May 15th. Please sign up at the Family Ministry

connection center and bring your money to the church office or to JB

Bowen. In addition to a season pass, a meal plan for the entire park season

can be purchased for an additional $100.

Youth Pool Party - Saturday, June 1st:

Youth and parents, please join us on Saturday,

June 1st, in celebrating the end of another school

year. Bring your bathing suits as we enjoy

swimming and a meal on the grill at the home of

Don Frangenberg. We will meet at Don’s house

at 5:00 p.m. and will leave at 8:00 p.m. See JB

for directions.

Community Changers - June 16th-21st:

As most of you know, last year we had the opportunity to serve one week

out of our summer in Darlington, SC. During that week, we built ramps,

fixed roofs, painted houses, and much, much more all in the name of Christ.

We will have that opportunity again this year the week of June 16th-21st.

We plan to leave after lunch on that Sunday and will be back in the early

afternoon on that Friday. This event is free for all CBC youth and adult

leaders. Sign up in the main hallway!

DISCIPLESHIP MINISTRY

So many people serve weekly at Covenant doing many different things. There are over 50 people involved in the Music & Worship Ministry. I am blessed to work with such dedicated and faithful people! Over the summer weeks, I like to give our different groups a little break to enjoy some extra time with family, maybe travel, and just enjoy being a part of the congregation. Please mark your calendar if you are a part of these groups. Also, if you're interested in joining in the Music & Worship Ministry, please see Tracey. Covenant Ringers: May 23rd will be our last rehearsal until school starts back. Worship Choir: June 26th will be our last rehearsal until August 14th. Also, don't forget that we have a meeting on Sunday, July 21st at 1:00 p.m. for EVERYONE that's helping with FINE ARTS CAMP. There are just a few more slots to fill. Please let Tracey know if you are available to help. The dates of Fine Arts Camp are August 4th (evening) and August 5th-8th (mornings).

SUNDAY SCHOOL LEADERSHIP TRAINING: May 17-18 Six sessions of training designed to inform, inspire, and motivate our current and prospective leaders in reaching, teaching, and ministering to people through the Sunday School. Please plan to be with us on Friday night, May 17th, from 6:00-9:15 p.m. Supper will be served. Then we will meet again on Saturday, May 18th, from 8:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Breakfast and lunch will be served on Saturday. In order to adequately prepare for the meals, please sign up by Monday, May 13th, by calling the church office at 803-286-5683. Sunday School is part of our Biblical mandate and is one of the best ways to reach people for Christ. This training is both a great opportunity and important to the spiritual growth of our church. So join us for a time of great fellowship, training, and spiritual growth as we come together to be better equipped for the business of reaching, teaching, and ministering.

Happy Mother’s Day Sunday, May 12th

I will give them singleness

of heart & action...for their

own good and the good of

their children after them.

(Jeremiah 32:39)
