Talented Artists
There are many gifted and talented people in our parish community. Recently we discovered that there are three artists in the parish. We thought that it would be a good idea for these three artists
(two women and one man) to display some of their paintings on Sunday June 12th after all Sunday Masses. These paintings will also be available for purchase.
STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL ~ JUNE 12th Along with our Art Show, please come and join us for a sample of strawberries and ice-cream, strawberry shortcake & strawberry crepes.
After the 12pm Mass *****
Come join us for a “farm-tastic” week at Barnyard Roundup VBS, where children will learn through Bible lessons, games
and snacks. During our daily Roundup, campers will discover how Jesus cares, provides, leads, forgives and that
He is our Savior!

Elena Conte, Marilyn Ryan,
Karen Guarascio, Michael Dutkoski,
Alice O’Neill, Leticia Bravo, Please remember these and the names men-
tioned in the prayer of the faithful in your own private prayers in your home during the week. Prayers are the powerful tools of the Lord in healing and we hope that this will allow us to more consciously remember our sick, infirm,
and elderly brothers and sisters in Christ. A reminder – For anyone who is sick, their name will be announced from the pulpit for
four weeks and printed in the bulletin for four weeks following that. We ask that you let us
know if the person’s name should be removed from either the pulpit announcement or from
being printed in the bulletin.

CORPUS CHRISTI The Feast of Corpus Christi,
also known as Corpus Domini, is a Latin Rite liturgical solem-
nity celebrating the tradition and belief in the body and blood
of Jesus Christ and his Real Presence in the Eucharist. It
emphasizes the joy of the insti-tution of the Eucharist, which was observed on
Maundy Thursday in the somber atmosphere of the nearness of Good Friday.
MEMORIAL DAY
Memorial Day is a federal holi-day in the United States for
remembering the people who died while serving in the coun-try's armed forces. The holiday,
which is observed every year on the last Monday of May, originated as Decora-
tion Day after the American Civil War in 1868, when the Grand Army of the Republic, an organiza-tion of Union veterans founded in Decatur, Illinois,
established it as a time for the nation to decorate the graves of the war dead with flowers. By the 20th
century, competing Union and Confederate holiday traditions, celebrated on different days, had merged, and Memorial Day eventually extended to honor all Americans who died while in the military service. It
typically marks the start of the summer vacation season, while Labor Day marks its end.
VISITATION
The Visitation is the visit of Mary with Elizabeth. Mary visits her relative Elizabeth; they are
both pregnant. Mary is pregnant with Jesus and Elizabeth is preg-nant with John the Baptist. Mary left Nazareth immediately after
the Annunciation and went "into the hill country...into a city of
Judah" (Luke 1:39) to attend to her cousin. Eliza-beth was in the sixth month before Mary came. Mary stayed three months until John was born.
SACRED HEART OF JESUS The devotion to the Sacred Heart (also known as the Most Sacred
Heart of Jesus, is one of the most widely practiced and well-known
Roman Catholic devotions, taking Jesus Christ's physical
heart as the representation of His divine love for humanity.
