CONFIGURE
Automatic Configuration
Systems using a Cloud Connect and 50 smart modules or fewer are eligible for automatic configuration using the Tigo SMART app.
All others must be configured online at tigoenergy.com before commissioning.
Online Configuration
To configure a system online, log in to tigoenergy.com with your installer account.
You can also create an installer account here if this is your first installation.
New Installation
Click “New Installation” to begin.
Have your site map or string list with bar codes ready.
Installation Wizard
Complete the five steps of the Installation Wizard
Have your site map or string list with bar codes ready.
Enter site information:•Address•Site owner information•3rd party finance, if applicable
Click “Next” to proceed
Site Information
Enter inverter information:• Make and model• Max power• Number of MPPTs• Number of strings• Number of modules per string• MPPT range
Add more inverters if needed.
Equipment – Inverter
Enter PV module information:• Make and model• Max power• Connector type
Add more than one module type if needed
Equipment – Modules
Enter Management Unit information• Label – assign a name• Barcode – a 12 digit code located on
the bottom of the case• Number of Gateways
Click “Register MMU(s)” to save
Click “Next” to proceed

Enter your layout information.• Click the grid to begin placing
the modules as they appear on the roof
• Place modules individually or by string
• Choose portrait or landscape

Once done with the physical layout it’s time to upload the barcodes.• Use a barcode scanner to save
time• Barcodes can be entered
individually or uploaded in a .csv file
• A labeled template is available on this page for .csv uploads

The map with barcodes from the installation site should show how the modules are wired in series
This ensures that your module-level view matches the actual site layout
Organizing Your Layout
After entering the barcodes you’ll see the modules have all turned green
Save your work and click “Next” to continue
Layout
Review summary and confirm that everything is correct
You can download a copy of your system map and a table referencing your barcodes
Click “Finish” to save and exit.
Confirmation
This will transmit your configuration file to the MMU or Cloud Connect.
