About your coach
Char Weeks is in internationally certified Executive Master
Coach, a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company
Directors. She has formal qualifications in change management
from the Australian School of Business (formerly the Australian
Graduate School of Management) and has studied business
management at the Australian Institute of Management. Char's
first entrée into counselling came during her involvement in the
Ankali program at the Albion Street Centre in Sydney, NSW. Char is
accredited in the Resilience at Work (RAW) Scale developed by
Kathryn McEwen.
Char developed her program/ project management and
facilitation skills as Executive Director, Australian Resource Centre
for Health Care Innovations and as Executive Officer in the Office
of the Secretary General, Royal Australian College of General
Practitioners. She also worked as a research assistant in the Faculty
of Behaviour Science in Relation to Medicine at the University of
Newcastle. She holds a qualification in health economics.
Passionate about change management in the public and NGO
sectors and particularly as it relates to health more broadly and its
interfacing sectors, Char worked with the Health Communication
Network in the UK as International Policy Advisor.
As Innovation Leader at Change Champions & Associates, Char is
able to more fully explore her long held commitment to supporting
people in organisations to develop their true potential. Among her
many contributions to the advancement of healthcare service
delivery, she co-facilitated with Dr Arn Sprogis, the Newcastle
health group in the then Prime Minister's 2020 Summit.
She has a natural flair for writing and is author of the popular
book "Handy Hints for the Novice Conference Presenter" first
published in 2010. Interest in this topic has led Char as far as
Singapore to provide training to health professionals. She is
currently working on practical book for emerging leaders.
More recently Char has provided training to teams and individuals
from local government, not for profit organisations, university and
TAFE, hospitals, community health, health promotion and aged
care.
