The Theme and the ContextGlobalization has been a dominant theme and framework for action for the business world during the last two decades and more. Management education for its part has been making constant adjustments to the exigencies of globalization, whether it is multinational management, business strategy, marketing, international finance or supply chain management.

There have recently been countervailing forces against globalization, as illustrated by BREXIT, the rise of illiberal populism in parts of the world and policy trends associated with the new US administration.

While such restrictive trends may periodically appear and disappear, technological developments and the compulsions of inter dependence of nations would continue to shrink the world and make it imperative for businesses to operate on a global canvas.

B-Schools too will have to follow suit, and design strategies to sustain their globalized operations and exposure, keeping in view the contextual condition.

It is against this background that we are organizing a Global B-School Meet on the theme:

“Management Education: Coping with the Emerging Trends in the Globalized World”.

The Sub-themesThe Summit will deliberate on the following sub-themes as well as other issues related to them:

1. Perils and pleasures of globalized education: stakeholders’ perspectives 2. Networks and partnerships for globalized education 3. Funding support for global exposure: requirements and availability 4. Globalized education: the role of and impact on transnational corporations 5. Multi-country Programmes: feasibility and impact 6. Technology Enabled Pedagogies in Management Education 7. Globalizing Management Education: An agenda for action

Our Partners for the EventAIMSAIMS is a networking organization of business schools in India.

Founded in 1988 as a registered society, the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS),  has since grown into a powerful network of nearly 700 top management schools of national and international repute in the country. It is the second largest network of management schools in the world and the official representative of Indian Management Schools.

ABBSAssociation of BRICS Business Schools (ABBS) was founded on 31 January 2009 at a meeting of BRICS-countries based educational institutions held at XIME Bangalore

The idea of ABBS derives from a bold vision of the possibilities for business schools from the member countries to contribute to global management education. With their rising importance as the most active growth areas in the global economy today, Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa are represented in the Association

IAABSIndian Association of Autonomous Business Schools (IAABS) – a national association of PGDM Schools - was founded in 2014 with Fr. E. Abraham SJ, Director XLRI as the first President. The main objective of the Association is to establish a network of PGDM/Autonomous Management institutions engaged in education, training and research in India and also to contribute to the development of management education in all aspects.

KAABSThe Karnataka Association of Autonomous Business Schools (KAABS) was formed in 2012 with the main objective promoting and safeguarding the common interests of the member institutions, including facilitation of research and working collectively to enhance the quality of post graduate management programmes.

About XIMEXavier Institute of Management & Entrepreneurship (XIME), Bangalore was established in 1991 by a group of distinguished academicians under the leadership of Prof. J.
