Before You Begin

To perform these steps, you must have the ability to install software on your computer. Local administrator

permissions are required.

These steps assume you are using Internet Explorer 11 on Windows or Safari 9.x on Mac. These steps may vary

slightly if you are using a different web browser.

Access to Conemaugh applications assumes that you have attended the required system training and know

your associated IDs and passwords.

This document should serve as a guide. Individual personal devices may vary based on specific

environments and settings.

Citrix Receiver System Requirements

• Browser

o Windows

� Internet Explorer 11

o Mac

� Safari 6.0 or newer

• Operating System

o Windows

� Windows 10 (32-bit and 64-bit editions)

� Windows 8.1 (32-bit and 64-bit editions)

� Windows 8 (32-bit and 64-bit editions)

� Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit editions)

o Mac

� OS X El Capitan (10.11)

� Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite

� Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks

� OS X Mountain Lion (10.8)

• Hardware

o 130 MB of free disk space

o A working network or Internet connection

o At least 512 MB memory

Install Citrix Receiver on Windows

1.) Open Internet Explorer and navigate

to receiver.citrix.com. Click Download

Receiver for Windows.

2.) A verification message will appear.

Click Run.

3.) If a prompt for User Account Control

appears, click Yes.

4.) At the “Welcome to Citrix Receiver”

window, click Start.

5.) Accept the License Agreement by

selecting the checkbox and clicking

Next.

6.) Click Install. The install

will begin. This may take a

few minutes to complete.

7.) Click Finish.

8.) After installation, you may have to

restart your computer. Click Yes when

prompted to restart.

9.) Browse to connect.conemaugh.org

and log in with your credentials.

10.) Windows 8/10 users only: Select

the checkbox and click Allow.

11.) Click Allow to let the

plug-in load.

Note: This window may hide

underneath the Remember

Username/Password

notification.

12.) You should now be logged in and

able to launch your applications.

13.) Windows 8/10 users only: You may

see this prompt after launching an

application. Select the checkbox and

click Permit Use.

Install Citrix Receiver on Mac

1.) Open Safari and navigate to

receiver.citrix.com. Click Download

Receiver for Mac.

2.) You will be redirected to the

download page. Click Download

Receiver for Mac.

3.) Click the “Downloads” icon and

select CitrixReceiver12.2.dmg.

Note: This will vary depending on

version.

4.) Double click Install Citrix Receiver.

5.) Click Continue.

6.) Click Continue.

7.) Click Continue.

8.) If you wish to read the software

license, click Read License then click

Agree.

9.) Click Install.

10.) You may get prompted for the

Admin password. Enter this password

and click Install Software. The install

will begin. This may take a few

minutes to complete.

11.) Click Continue.

Note: Do not select Add Account.

12.) Click Close.

13.) Browse to connect.conemaugh.org

and log in with your credentials.

14.) Click Trust to allow the plug-in to

load.

15.) You should now be logged in and

able to launch your applications.

Troubleshooting This section lists potential problems and solutions to assist users in resolving common Citrix related problems

that may occur.

Please ensure that you have reviewed the following topics before contacting the help desk.

1. A common fix for Citrix Receiver issues is to do a full reinstall of the client.

a. Download and run the Citrix Receiver cleanup utility found here:

https://connect.conemaugh.org/Citrix/ConemaughWeb/cleanup.exe

After running this utility follow this document for reinstall instructions.

2. When I try to install Citrix Receiver my computer, I am prompted that I do not have the correct

permissions.

a. You must have administrator rights on your computer to install Citrix Receiver.

3. I do not have Citrix Receiver.

a. Browse to http://receiver.citrix.com to download the latest version.

4. I already have Citrix Receiver installed on my computer, but I am repeatedly asked to install it.

a. Click Skip to Log On to bypass the auto-detect and install process to go directly to your apps.

5. I am being asked to open, run, or save a launch.ica file.

a. Add https://connect.conemaugh.org to your trusted sites.

b. If you already have Citrix Receiver installed, find the launch.ica file, right click on it, select Open

file with… or Always open file with… and locate the Citrix Receiver application. You may need

to browse for this file under Applications (Mac OS) or under C:\Program Files

(x86)\Citrix\Receiver (Windows). In the future, Citrix Receiver should automatically open this

file.
