Each ensemble will have sent the following documents until Ma y 1st, 201 : - ID documents for each member of the ensemble (copy) - Curriculum vitae of each member and of the ensemble - A recent picture of the ensemble - The filled-in application form, containing the final list of works to be played (1 form/ensemble) - Proof of application fee payment (100 RON/ensemble) The documents will be sent to the following address - Each ensemble will receive a confirmation message by May 15th 201 . - Signing the application form implies agreeing with all the terms and conditions of thecompetition. - The candidate must be free of any other obligation during the competition. - On May 2 th 201 , the orde r of performances will be assigned randomly. Each ensemble must be represented by at least one member. - The contest will comprise 2 phases. During the first phase, the ensembles will present works from the German and/or English Baroque (max. 20 minutes). - During the second phase, 6-8 ensembles will be selected to play works from the French and/or Italian Baroque (max. 25 minutes). - All contest's phases are open to the public. - The jury will assess the Baroque performance and stylistic practices. - The repertoire may be played on period instruments, copies of period instruments or modern instruments. - The candidates are expected to pay for their own accommodation. A list of affordable hostels and hotels may be provided by request. - The candidates are expected to pay for their own transportation. - The jury will decide on the competition's winners; the jury has the right to refuse awarding prizes; the jury's decisions are final. - The 1st phase: each ensemble will be granted 40 minutes rehearsal time in the concert hall at the Gheorghe Dima Music Academy on May and 2 th; a tuned harpsichord will be provided (A=415 or 440 Hz). - The 2n d phase: each selected ensemble will be provided 6 0 minute s rehearsal time on the evening of May 2 or on the morning of May , under the same conditions as stated above. - Ensembles may also rehearse or enter the contest by playing the organ in the Organ Studio of the Music Academy (A=440Hz). - The prize s of the “La Stravaganza” Baroque Music Contest – 201 are: 1st prize - 2.000 RON 2nd prize - 1.500 RON 3rd prize - 1.000 RON - The jury may split the prizes above or award special prizes. - The awarding of prizes and the ga la concert will be included among the co ncerts within The “La Stravaganza 201 Festival, and will take place on May 2 - The Festival coordinators have the right to film, photograph, record and broadcast all the performances in the contest, including the gala concert. The candidates will perform pro bono.
