LE ORIGINI

TOMMASINI has been designing and producing racing bikes since short after the Second World War. Our history is part of the rich Italian history of real craftsmanship of building race frames/bikes. TOMMASINI takes its name from its founder Irio Tommasini who has spent most of his life in cycling. In 1948, while still racing as an amateur, he started working on bicycles. His building career started in Milan and in 1957 he started his own business in his home town of Grosseto. By the end of the 60's the TOMMASINI frames were well respected throughout Italy and were being exported for sale abroad. By that time TOMMASINI frames were already well appreciated for their fine finishes and true racing geometries. Amateur and professional racers had already been racing and winning on TOMMASINI'S frames. Today, Irio and his employees produce between 2000 and 2500 frames per year with most of them being exported throughout the world.

CUSTOM BUILD

TOMMASINI’S main differentiator is our specific design and the unique custom build option for all our frames. For us custom is standard. In our opinion every rider deserves a personal build bike. The right geometry delivers the best results when riding. That is the reason why we build all our frames ourselves in our own factory. Come and visit us at our factory in Grosseto (Tuscany) Italy.

By combining our knowledge with new technology we are able to continuously improve and innovate our products.

TOMMASINI frames are something very unique in the world. Unique, because every frame is created by hand, unique because every detail has been given our maximum attention. The materials we use in our whole production process are of the best quality. This is all done to create perfection. Every tube technology gets its own treatment. Every combination of tube technology makes this even more special. Our dedication, our knowledge and our high standards guarantee you the best product you could wish for. Our frames are being supplied with the forks needed. For most of our frame we have a choice in forks. All tested and approved by our own technicians.
