Aim: To increase AEGEE’s visibility and advocacy towards policy drafting institutions Principles: Position papers cover topics of AEGEE’s expertise, youth related European topics. Each position paper has to be discussed with the network, has to be in compliance with the Statement of Principles of AEGEE and should not be controversial. Prospective fields of action: - Youth Unemployment in Europe - Recognition of Non-formal education - Youth representation in politics - Freedom of movement for European Youth - Supporting Multilingualism in Europe - Further development of Community Actions towards Europeanisation of higher education - Method of work: For drafting a position paper the Comité Directeur or concerned bodies of the association address to the network with a problem, raising a discussion and receiving feedback. The Comité Directeur or concerned bodies of the association draft the position paper. It should be approved by the CD, and ratified by the Agora. The Comité Directeur addresses the position paper to partner institutions directly, and to contact institutions towards Liaison Officers whose task is to adapt the position paper for the institution they are responsible for. Policy drafting institutions: - Partner institutions (European Commission, European Parliament, Council of Europe) - Contact institutions (United Nations, UNESCO, OECD, OSCE, World Bank)

Definition:
