Our JourneyCHPL - CHLFormed on 10th July, 1996, Concept Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. (CHPL) was converted to a ‘deemedpublic’ limited company on 16th February, 1998 and renamed Concept Hospitality Ltd.(CHL).
CHL was promoted by Mr. Param K. Kannampilly (FHCIMA), an internationally renownedhotelier and Mr. Vithal V. Kamat, scion of a large South Indian restaurant chain.
Mr. Kamat along with company director Mr. Ramesh Shanbag, subsequently sold their stakesin CHL to Kamat Hotels India Ltd (KHIL).
CHL – CHPLThe company reverted back to CHPL on 14th March, 2009 with the purchase of KHIL’s stakeby Mr. Kannampilly, giving majority control.
In April 2009, CHPL accepted Obelia Hotels Pvt. Ltd. as a stakeholder.
