The Dyson digital motor V4The impeller spins 92,000 times a minute – generating enough power to draw in up to 28 liters of air per second. With fully-integrated mechanical, electrical and aerodynamic systems, it’s a high efficiency, power dense package with a diameter of just over 3 inches.

Dyson digital motor V4 Using digital pulse technology, it spins 92,000 times a minute. It’s the only hand dryer motor powerful enough to draw in up to 28 liters of air a second through a HEPA filter, and then dry hands in 12 seconds.

Two HEPA filters Dirty air is pulled through these, removing 99.97% of bacteria at 0.3 microns from the air used to dry hands. So hands are dried using cleaner air, not dirty air.

Airblade™ technology The air is then forced through two 0.8 mm apertures. The result – two 420 mph sheets of air that scrape water from hands in just 12 seconds.
