Cable management
Cable management is an over looked problem. Failure to manage cables can lead to peripheral devices not working correctly.
Cable management kits are available online or you can buy a kit to manage your cables to keep away problems.
Hardware
One of the best ways to cut down on computer repair is to make a schedule to clean your computer so that your computer never has issues.
Keyboard and mouse
Checking your keyboard periodically for dust helps stop key jams and malfunctions.
Keyboard should be cleaned with compressed air.
To clean a mechanical mouse you disassemble the mouse take out the ball and remove debris.
Cleaning Printers
Cleaning a printer expands its life. First turn off printer, then use cleaner
recommended by manufacture or a lint free cloth and moisten it 50 50 with vinegar and water wring out extra liquid.
Finally clean the printer thoroughly. Ink jet printer involve a kit you must use due to
small deposits of ink saved in the printer.
Upgrades
At some point hardware gets old an updates or upgrades are needed for your computer to work productively.
Ram can be added to enhance the computer.
Due to congested ram causing a computer to move slower.
Preventative maintenance Computers slow down as you add and
delete or install and uninstall software. To avoid these problems windows comes
with the tools you can use (that every once in a while need to be deleted such as) the recycling bin, temp files, and cookies.
Disk Defragmentation
Disk fragmentation occurs when data is stored but not stored close together. The sectors are stored in nonadjacent clusters that cause fragmented files the pattern continues until you delete the files and add new ones.
Cookies Temp Files and the Recycling bin
Recycling bin is a place files go after being deleted from a computer and they sit there until rightfully deleted totally by a user.
Temp files are used to free memory for other programs, to prevent data loss, and for printing.
Cookies are small text files that are created and updated on your computers hard drive every time a website is visited.
