    Filters

    Pre Filter

    Protect the desiccant from free water contamination,dust, scales, etc.,

    Material: Poly-propylene cartridge with 5 micron size.

    After filter

    To remove the desiccant dust carried over to the

    equipment.

    FEATURES:

    Both Auto & Manual operation.

    Auto cum Manual drain valves for Each pre-filter

    and after filter. (Operates on every 5 Min)

    Air through heater can be heated up to 150 Deg C.

    (Desiccant measuring Temp. switches (TS1, TS2 & TS3)set at 100 to 120 Deg C will trip while temp. exceeds).

    The Compressed Air contains dust, oil water vapour,

    hydrocarbon with typical burnt smell. It has to be purified

    before use of important pneumatic valves, cylinders and

    pressurised air appliances.

    Activated Alumina is used as desiccant which is porous form of

    Aluminium dioxide.

    Non-toxic and will not swell in contact with Liquid. Capable of producing dew point up to -80 deg C (Under

    Specified conditions).

    The dew point is the temperature to which a given volume of

    air must be cooled, at constant barometric pressure, for water

    vapor to condense in to water. The condensed water is called

    dew. The dew point is a saturation point.

    Higher Dewpoint means that its 100% approaches to Relative

    Humidity (Air is saturated with water).

    TROUBLE SHOOTING

    DRIER OPERATION (Drying cycle- 6 Hrs)

    DRIER TOWER -1 START

    ----5 th Min-------Exhaust -2 valve open.

    ----8 th Min------- Blower start.

    ----11 th Min------- Heater ON.

    ----After 31/2 Hrs-------Heater OFF.

    ----After 51/2 Hrs-------Blower STOP and Exhaust valve-2 get

    close after 3 Min.

    Re-pressurisation for 25 Mins.

    DRIER-2 in service and Exhaust -1 valve in open.

    OBSERVATIONS

    1) Drop in temperature in instrument air line (45Deg C @dryerO/L and 28 Deg C@ Boiler inlet {Leads to rise in moisture

    content}

    2) Leakages in Boiler instrument air lines (Isolation valves are

    Already provided to attend all leakages in ONLINE or Can be

    Replaced with new lines)

    - Energy savings can be made.

    3) Motor winding temp & Bearing temp values can be extended toDCS & 2 / 6 on winding temp logic to be confirmed.

    4)Air line for compressor valves can be tapped from header TOP,

    Instead of sideways
