About this programme: Shist ing global priorities invite signifi cant organisational change and challenges, with an increased focus on the quality of executive teams. Most leaders will need to learn new skills, as they are required to transform their executive roles and develop new ways of thinking. Furthermore, there is increasing scrutiny placed on executive managers to balance the corporate scorecard over the long term, build organisational capacity and develop a new generation of skills and talent.

Our fl agship Executive Development Programme (EDP) equips participants with strategic skills, enabling them to gain an understand of global markets, employ cognitive strategies to appraise systems and consider emergent futures, as well as apply critical thinking to support strategic leadership decisions. The programme includes career management and work/life integration.

During the programme, participants will learn from the expertise of highly successful academics and the personal experiences of top business leaders. Merging these insights, with your own leadership behavior and adaptive thinking, will maximize your learning. You will be provided with opportunities to collaborate with peers and integrate your business knowledge and skills, as well as enhance your professional network.

What are the admission requirements?Whilst a post graduate qualifi cation is not a pre-requisite, it is strongly recommended. All candidates must have relevant experience and have held a senior or executive management position for at least two years. Sound general knowledge or experience of functional management (marketing, fi nance, human resources, etc.) is a further entry-level requirement for admission. Admission is subject to a selection process.

What will you receive upon completion?Upon successful completion of the programme (which requires attendance of all classroom-based study blocks as well as passing of all assignments), you will receive a certifi cate from Stellenbosch University. On completion of the programme, participants become USB-ED alumni.
