COMPOSITE INFUSION TRAINING
Composite Infusion Training
Composite Infusion Training is a new kind of workshop for both companies with no experience of vacuum infusion as well as ones that have a solid knowledge but wants to start looking into perform-
ing more advanced infusions.
Our ExperienceComposites Consulting Group (CCG) is probably the most successful infusion consultant on the market today for large scale infusions. Since 1999 consultants from Composites Consulting Group have led over 250 bigger infusion projects in Europe. Experience from all these infusions has for the first time been put into one workshop.
PurposeComposite Infusion Training combines both theoretical and practical exercises to give all partici¬pants a solid foundation in large scale vacuum infusions. Both levels end up in a large on site infusion. In the level one a (simulated) part of a pedestrian bridge is infused and in level two a 3D infusion of a 16 ft. hull with stiffeners. In these practical sessions all participants are working together from placing of fabrics to deciding on a suitable infusion strategy. All parts of the workshop will have a high degree of practical participation and will be evaluated.
Target GroupThis workshop is aimed for composite customers all around Europe, both “on-floor” workers, techni-cal managers and designers. Level one gives a basic understanding of infusion and gives you the tools to start working with infusion. Level two paints up an in-depth picture and focus more on steps for success when planning a large infusion.
LocationThe workshop will be held at the CCG headquarters in Laholm, Sweden. Address: Norra Sofi-eroleden 8, 312 32 Laholm. Phone +46 (0)430 163 00.
Instructors
Andreas ForsbergAfter finishing his engineering studies at Halmstad University he joined DIAB in 2004. He first started out in the production but joined the DIAB Technologies team later that year. Andreas main focus is process techniques and especially vacuum infusion where he has extensive experience from many on-site projects. Since the start of Composites Consulting Group, Andreas is the man-ager for the office in Laholm, Sweden.
Björn Abrahamsen Started out as a boat builder in 1974 when he built the first Scandinavian civilian sandwich boat at his own yard just outside Oslo, Norway. Before that, sandwich construction was only used in military vessels. Björn continued with his ship yard until 1988 when he started working for DIAB where he has been one of the pioneers in developing the vacuum infusion technique. Björn is one of Compos-ites Consulting Groups senior process engineers.
