A.1. Synoptic situation during last 4 days from 11.05.2018 to 14.05.2018
11.05.2018:
The upper air cyclonic circulation over Lakshadweep and adjoining southeast Arabian Sea
now lies over southeast Arabian Sea adjoining Lakshadweep extending upto 3.1 km
above mean sea level . The trough from this system to NorthInterior Karnataka at 1.5 km above mean sea
level has become less marked.The trough from east Bihar to northeast Odisha across Gangetic West
Bengal at 1.5 km above mean sea level has become less marked.
12.05.2018

A north-south wind discontinuity runs from Rayalaseema to south Tamilnadu and extends to 0.9
km above mean sea level.The cyclonic circulation over southeast ArabianSea & adjoining Lakshadweep
extending upto 2.1 km above mean sea level became less marked.
14.05.2018
The northsouth wind discontinuity from Rayalaseema to south Tamilnadu now runs
from Telangana to south Tamilnadu across Rayalaseema and extends upto 0.9 km above mean sea level..

Detailed District/Zone wise Agro met Advisories
AGRO METEOROLOGICAL ADVISORY FOR DISTRICTS OF TELANGANA
During last three days light to moderate rains occurred at many places over different
parts of the State. The maximum and minimum temperatures ranged between 37-440C and 19-
300C respectively. As per the forecast received from Meteorological Centre, Hyderabad, light
rains may occur at isolated places over different parts of the State during next five days. The
maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to range between 35-430C and 21-27
0C,
respectively.
WEATHER BASED AGRO-ADVISORIES
By taking the advantage of recent rains farmers are advised to take up summer ploughing to control weeds, hibernating pests and disease spores that may damage kharif crops.
Vegetables
If incidence of sucking pests is noticed. To control, spray Dimethoate @ 2 ml or
Acephate @ 1.5 g per litre of water.
Poultry
Prevailing weather conditions are congenial for the occurrence of Ranikhet disease in
poultry. To prevent the diseases, vaccinate the birds.
To protect the poultry birds arrange fans and foggers in sheds, cover the sheds with
paddy straw and arrange sprinklers. Feed with wet mash to increase the feed intake and
provide cool water for drinking.
Cattle and buffaloes
Prevailing weather conditions are congenial for the occurrence of Sheep pox in sheep
and goat
Foot and mouth disease in cattle and Buffaloes. To prevent the diseases, vaccinate the
animals.
