ComposiMold Original and ComposiMold Food Contact and are the same. (CL12000) (CL12006)All ingredients are food contact safe but labelled differently so users don't make a plaster/plastic casting and then use the same material for foods.

ComposiMold Firm is also food contact safe, but is firmer (at room temperature it is (CL12003)around Shore A hardness of 18, vs ComposiMold Original is around 10). It is great for small mould parts that require a stiffer mould making material such two part moulds or polymer clay push moulds.

CASTING TIPS

To reduce bubble formation in your moulds, use Bubble Blaster . It works by reducing (CL12009)the surface tension so the bubbles rise up and away from the mould surface.

Eg: after you have secured your Master in the mould box, spray or wipe your part with a Mould Release, and then spray liberally with the Bubble Blaster. Make sure you get into crevices.

You don't have to wipe it off. The Bubble Blaster will reduce the bubbles from sticking to your Master, but in some spots the bubbles may stick. Use a toothpick or a paper clip to pull the bubbles away from the surface of the mould.

For two part moulds, you can use the Bubble Blaster. Be sure to use a Mould Release first.

Use clean Vegetable Oil as a Mould Release. For ease of application, apply using a trigger spray bottle .(TZ02003)

Don't use the Vegetable Oil for Urethane Castings, as it does have a little water that will react with the urethane.

is Exothermic, it will ComposiMold create heat when curing which potentially can limit the sizes of s. the casting There are several ways to deal with the heat: Cool the ComposiMold in the freezer,

pour the urethane in stages (a little at a time), or add dry fillers (also saves on resin).

You can also c , this ool the mould is how you can make castings with soaps or candlewax.

ComposiMold takes a couple days to fully cure, but it can be demoulded overnight (10-12 hours).

P C by adding GYou can improve the finish of laster astings a spoonful of PVA lue to the water , it will result in abefore mixing with the plaster harder surface finish.
