STUDENT FINANCE
Student finance for UK and EU students is not available for ATHE programmes. Student finance should be available for the BA
(Hons) top-up degree for eligible UK and EU students. This is normally up to £9,000 for tuition fees. There is no maintenance
grant or loan. Non-EEA/EU students can study by distance learning at ETC and then continue studying by distance learning at
Anglia Ruskin University. ATHE has an articulation agreements with Anglia Ruskin University, so students successfully completing
Level 4 and 5 Extended Diplomas in Management can gain admission to Anglia Ruskin University.

Duration: Flexible (by blended or distance learning) OVERVIEW The ATHE Level 4 Extended Diploma in Management is a nationally recognised qualification, which can be studied by distance learning or blended learning. The programme is at the same level of difficulty as a first year undergraduate degree. Assessment is by vocationally relevant assignments, using a range of assessment methods, including written reports and recorded oral presentations. ATHE is a nationally recognised awarding organisation, which is regulated by Ofqual.

STUDY SUPPORT
LEARNING MATERIALS You will be supplied with electronic learning materials to download, a reading list and assignment briefs with guidance for each assignment task. (This is included in the programme fee. You will, however, be expected to purchase your own textbooks.) TUTORS You will be allocated a tutor with whom you can arrange face-to-face meetings at the College’s premises or you can communicate with via telephone, Skype, Tango or WebEx. (Each unit includes 2 hours one-to-one consultation with the tutor, after which there will be a charge of £25 per hour. E-mail correspondence is included in the fee for the duration of the programme.)
EXPECTED COMPLETION TIME
Although you can study the programmes at your own pace, the awarding organisation (i.e. ATHE) expects you to undertake a minimum duration of study per unit in order to complete it effectively. This is 150 hours per unit. Therefore the approximate minimum completion time per programme (assuming study time of 40 hours a week) is as follows: LEVEL 4 EXTENDED DIPLOMA IN MANAGEMENT (8 units) 30 weeks LEVEL 5 EXTENDED DIPLOMA IN MANAGEMENT (8 units) 30 weeks Please note that these are recommended guide times only. Some students may be able to complete the programme in a shorter period of time, while others could require more time. The average time is likely to be 9-12 months, with sustained study.
