Lifelong learner – if you’re not learning, how can you continue to add value to the organization? Find those
with a track record of learning.
“Infection” agent – some people have the innate passion to get others on
the bandwagon. Get ‘em on board.

Apologizer – Customer loyalty-building after a service screw-up begins with “I’m
sorry”. Find people who are ok with saying it.
Human being “lover” – Creating WOW! For customers requires serving
people in amazing ways. Look for people who are born to serve others.

High pain tolerant – greatness comes with pain along the way; you need
people with tough skin.
Successful failure – success = doing a lot of imperfect stuff FAST! Failure along the way is a neccesity.
Look for a track record of tries.

Raconteur – Stories bring everything to life, painting pictures of what success looks like. Get people who can light up their eyes.
Descrambler – Execution is complex and requires someone who can simplify what
has to be done for others. Find a “dumb down” artist.

Connector – Broken customer promises occur when processes are
broken. Delivering anything requires people who can work well with others.
First responder – “Shit happens” to any plan. You need people who can bring their “A” game when recovery is critical.

Chillax-er – Some people are terrific at responding under pressure; cover the
mellow ones.
Nano-inch seeker – Progress occurs inch-by-inch; there is no silver
bullet. Find people who are relentless at getting an inch of progress fast.
