Connecting and Transforming A Letter from the President

I am very pleased that our Marketing

Specialist Kelly Bartucca asked me to write

a brief letter for our new Compass Medical

Newsletter. We have certainly come a long

way from our founding in 1993.

As I look from my new office to the

remarkable Southeast Medical Center, I am

astonished to think this is the third move for

the business office, as we have outgrown

our space at SMC. I am even more thrilled to

see the beautiful new Family Medicine Suite

that we were able to create in this space

after our move (for more on this, please see

pg. 3).

It is truly amazing that we have grown so

quickly in just 16 years. Although there have

been many changes in those years, the care for the patients remains our focus.

wards YOGA FOR THE

MIND Radiology

Department Comes Together

The Radiology Department in

East Bridgewater has taken

up “Yoga for the Mind”,

simply defined as,

Crocheting! Yes folks, a

group of girls have formed a

Wednesday night crocheting

club and have discovered a

hidden, inner talent.

This group of crocheting

fanatics is being led by

Radiology’s own Lisa

Cushing. “It’s very rewarding

to take a group of women that

have never crocheted and

teach them something that is

so self gratifying” said Lisa.

“In today’s world, coming

together and relaxing

amongst our peers is so

necessary. It shields us from

the everyday toxins that

penetrate our well being.”

Crocheting has brought

together the Radiology

Department in ways they

never imagined. “Crocheting

together redirects our

everyday hectic lives into

pure laughter and self-

discovery.”

For more information on

Crocheting, contact Lisa

Cushing in the Radiology

Department.

The Urgent Care Center at Southeast Medical Center has opened its doors to offer services 7 days a week. Now open Monday

Peplau, M.D., Clinical Director for the UCC.

The Urgent Care Center is equipped with a full service lab and radiology department. X-rays are read the same day by

radiologists from Brigham and Women's Hospital. A second Urgent Care Center will be opening soon in Easton.
