Compared to my first task, I feel that I’ve used the skills of Photoshop in a much more varied way. In the last task, the background with the contents and cover was one colour, after experimenting with Photoshop for a short while; I discovered the textured brushes which allowed my magazine to have a brushed background and could be different colours. It also gave a better feel to the magazine with its different textures. Simply by using this brush effect, it allowed my music magazine to already look better than my first magazine.

Using lighting effects on Photoshop gave my pictures a more professional look to the magazine and not as simplistic as the first magazine. From the skills and techniques I’d used in the past from Photoshop, I was able to make the pictures brighter or darker despite having taken some very unprofessional pictures.

For the fonts from both magazines, I was able to use skills I already knew from Photoshop to make my fonts look good. My previous font was less bold as my music magazine due to being a different style, with this magazine I could use all my skills and create fonts that I wanted and suited my magazine. This allowed me to use skills I knew but also new skills I learned from the previous magazine.
