World Literatures and Cultures

• Discover the roots of today’s globalizing world by

studying a selection of writers, artists, and works that

have shaped, challenged, and connected civilizations

throughout history

• Explore cross-cultural exchanges, while traveling

from Europe to Asia, from Africa to the Americas

• Learn how to think outside the box of your cultural

environment by reading timeless stories (The Epic of

Gilgamesh, Homer’s Odyssey, The Arabian Nights,

Dante’s Divine Comedy etc.) and by watching

movies inspired by these stories

• Take a virtual tour of some of the capitals of world

culture (Rome, Vienna, Saint Petersburg, Mexico

City, etc.) and discover their artistic wonders
