The Aims of the Federation1. To protect the general public as an independent body when

purchasing PVCu and aluminium products from its members.

2. To ensure to the best of the Federation’s ability that its members follow the code of practice laid down by the Federation.

3. To give advice and information to the public as to recommended systems and installation methods.

4. To offer an independent surveying service in cases where a dispute has occurred between the customer and the member company.

5. To ensure that protection within the terms of the Master Policy of Insurance is given to the customer in the event of a member company not being able to honour its own guarantee.

COMMERCIAL INSTALLATIONS

Established in 1982 and still going strong, Rustington

Windows offer a friendly and reliable service whilst being

committed to quality, security and customer satisfaction. Over

90% of our work is from recommendations.

All products are purpose-made in our factory and then fitted by

our own experienced staff. We don’t subcontract! Nobody is on

day-work, price-work or commission, so nobody will rush or skimp

your job for their own gain. We are therefore in complete control

of our work and our commitment to service and quality has been

rewarded by membership of the Plastic Window Federation.

We have no sales force and only call when you ask us to do so. Our

estimates and advice are free of charge and without obligation.

All new windows have softcoat low energy glass, thermal spacer

bars, are argon gas filled and come with an insurance backed

5 Year Guarantee on Installation and 10 Year Guarantee on

Windows and Doors providing all windows, sealed units and doors

are maintained

We would like to have the inside of the windows a light and airy colour, but have the outside a darker colour

Dualframe is so called because you have two different colours for the interior and exterior finish. So choosing a cream or white interior and a completely different colour for the exterior is very easy. And with over 400 colours available you will be able to choose the shade that best suits your home and lifestyle.

How much maintenance?

Very little. Aluminium requires very much less looking after than PVCu or wood. Dualframe windows and doors will not warp, twist or swell and will not rot or rust. Unlike plastic doors and windows, they do not attract dirt and will not discolour.

Maintenance generally means a simple wipe over with a damp cloth and oil all moving parts.

BS6262 Part 4 requires that a glass meeting a minimum requirement of BS6206 Class C, and marked as such, is used.

BS6262 Part 4 requires a minimum Class C to be used except if the minimum dimension exceeds 900mm, when a Class B must be used and marked as such.

Safety glass is not a requirement here.

‘Low emissivity’ (Low E) glass is designed to reflect heat back into a building, greatly improving it’s thermal efficiency and also maximising the use of the available heat from the sun, thereby helping to meet these new regulations.
