Guaranteed PlacementsGuaranteed PlacementsHow does it work?

How can we ‘GUARANTEE’ a placement? How can we ‘GUARANTEE’ a placement?• Once we accept a student, we guarantee that they will be
placed.• For the SIP, CPP and CWE programs this is very easy for us to
do, thanks to our large pool of available host companies, and our ability to accurately match a student to suitable positions.o The large number of hosts means we have a built in capacity to deal with different
language levels, skill levels, and experience levels
• For the CDP program, while we have a large pool of hosts, this is still a difficult program to manage.o We alone are successful at this program because we strictly enforce program
requirements, and conduct telephone screening interviews with all program applicants. We only accept those students we are 100% certain we can place.

Your application form says you Your application form says you
guarantee only 5 interviews?guarantee only 5 interviews?• This is a common misunderstanding of what we have on our
application form. Specifically it says:o … if a student fails 5 interviews, they will be given the option of changing programs, or
withdrawing from the program with no refund.
• The operative word is ‘option’. What this means is that if a student fails 5 interviews, we meet with them and determine if they should continue with their present choices. o If they fail due to poor behaviour it gives us and the school the option to remove them
from the program. This has only been done once in 3 years.o If they fail because they are nervous, we will continue to give them more interviews and
work on ways of giving them extra support – this is the most common outcome for a student who fails more than 5 interviews
o If they fail because of poor English, this gives us leverage to move them into a program they are better suited to

Who do we work with?Who do we work with?• Thanks to our partnerships with Canadian universities, and
our large number of Canadian university interns, we uniquely have access to a much higher quality pool of host companies.
• Besides regular small and medium sized enterprises, we also work with major corporations, national banks, and government departments.
• Each mont h each of our placement staff selects a new industry to focus on, and proactively recruits dozens of new hosts in that industry. Past recruitment drives have brought in new banks, new film companies, and new engineering firms.
