PT Tira Austenite Tbk was established on April 8, 1974 and has initialized

its business as a trading company and focusing its business as a distributor,

representative and licensed sole agent of high quality European technical

products. PT Tira Austenite Tbk has been widely acknowledged as a main

representative of European company.

Due to its rapid growth, PT Tira Austenite Tbk expanded its business area from trading to

manufacturing. In July 1993 it became a public company with its shares listed on Indonesia Stock

Exchange. The present main stock holders of PT Tira Austenite Tbk are PT Mulia Darma Sarana, PT

Widjajatunggal Sejahtera and PT Martensite Unggul.

At present PT Tira Austenite Tbk has two Strategic Business Units (SBU) as follows:

SBU Industrial Products is the core of business activities of PT Tira Austenite Tbk. SBU Industrial

Products is focusing on marketing technical products for industrial needs such as, welding electrodes,

various kinds of steel, bronze, welding and cutting machines. More over, SBU Industrial Products also

manage a special Division - Manufacturing Division, in which through this Division PT Tira Austenite

Tbk manufactures its bronze and welding electrodes products.

SBU Industrial Gases is focusing on marketing gases for industrial needs such as Argon, Acetylene,

Hydrogen, Carbon Dioxide, Nitrogen and Oxygen. SBU Industrial Gases also markets medical gases

and special gases both in cylinders or liquid form. PT Tira Austenite Tbk in cooperation with several

well-known industrial gases principals to ascertain that the gases supplied are maintained at the best

quality.

Machinery steel is one of the most reliable products of PT Tira Austenite Tbk. This products are used in industrial application especially for the making of shaft, gear and other machine parts.

Machinery steel consists of:

1. Seven Grade series:• HQ 705, HQ 709, HQ 760 for machine parts (shaft,

gear)• HQ 7210 especially for gear application. This

grade is an alloyed case hardening steel with high core strength. This conditions are needed for gear design.

2. Eight Grade series:• HQ 805, HQ 809 and HQ 860 are upgrade levels

of seven grade series. In order to improve its performance and quality significantly, this grade of product have been treated additionally by vacuum degassing and peeling process. Ascometal (Lucchini Group, Italy) is our principal for this product.


Steel:

WearPlateWear resistant plate is a steel with high hardness (above 370 HB) which makes it suitable to extend life time of components such as heavy equipment, Liner Plate, Crusher and other application which, where high corrosion friction happens.

From wear resistant plate standard up to an advance solution, we provide wear resistant steel according to our customers’ needs. FORA 400 is a wear resistant plate with 370-430 hardness, which is made through water quenched method, and this grade is the mostly used product among customers.

For wear and tear which is not only caused by impact and friction, we provide CREUSABRO 4800 and CREUSABRO 8000. These products have TRIP (Transformation Induced by Plasticity) character and micro carbides that make this product have an active surface resistance, so that this material can last better if there is an impact. This product

ocan also be used in medium temperature 250–450 C, where other resistance product which generates from water quenched process usually will not be functioning optimally.

Our CREUSABRO M (Manganese Plate) is used for application with high impact. It is supplied with a low hardness (260 HB typical) and this product will get harder during usage because of its work hardened nature.

TICO PLATE is a steel with 700HV hardness chromium carbide layer. With mild steel based, it is easier for welding on installed component.

Our wear plate products are available both in standard size or cut to size.


Steel:

StainlessSteelSupported by the biggest mill in the world, TIRA supplies various kinds of Stainless Steel materials from Ferritic to Super duplex.

Plate Products

TCR 4003 is the right product for construction. It is a stainless steel with high strength which is qualified for wet abrasion application such as ash handling application, bagasse handling, transportation tools, chimney, silo ash handling etc.

SIRIUS S15, Heat resistant Plate which is used for high otemperature application up to 1150 C such as Furnace,

Dryer, Chimney etc.

DUPLEX Grade (UR 35-UR 45) is suitable for customers who require steel material with combination between mechanical strength and high acidity level. UR 35/45 is application SUS 316 alternative for 316 and it is used industries that requires higher level of acidity such as Pulp & Paper, Chemical and oil industry.

SUPER DUPLEX (UR 47/UR 52), with high corrosion resistant ability (PREN > 40) is commonly used in oil, petrochemical, geothermal and others.

Round Bar Product

Our Martensitic Round Bar product (TCR 410, TCR 420, TCR 431) are available from diameter 20 up to 375 mm and can be used as gears, shafts, bushing etc.

INDUSTRIAL GASES

Since its inception, Tira Gas has supported and contributed to industrial development in Indonesia through the supply of a variety of high quality industrial gases and related products.

Industrial gases such as acetylene (C2H2), argon, carbon dioxide (CO2), hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen.

Tira Gas provided gas mixtures are either mixed continuously on site from pure gases or supplied premixed. Our gases for the Metal Fabrication industry and for the Food industry, are often examples of different gas mixtures.

Acetylene (C2H2)

Mainly used for welding and cutting applications, and for lubrification of glass' molds. Used in optical spectrometry as an instrumentation gas; used as a fuel gas in atomic absorption spectrometry for elemental analysis.

Tira Gas have their own Acetylene plant located in Tegal, Central Java with capacity 3500 cylinders per shift per month. Three type of products generated by this plant are Acetylene Industrial Grade, Acetylene Blue Flame, and Acetylene Lab Grade.

Air (Synthetic)

Widely used for industrial application, analytical and helping medical treatment. Tira Gas can produce air (synthetic) with specification O2 : 19.5-23.5% balance with Nitrogen and impurities of H2O less than 10 ppm.

Argon

Used in diverse applications covering a number of industries, including:

• Aluminum: To replace air or nitrogen, creating an inert atmosphere conducive to manufacturing aluminum; to assist in the removal of unwanted soluble gases during degasification; and to remove dissolved hydrogen and particulates from molten aluminum.

• Lighting: To fill incandescent and fluorescent light bulbs; to create a blue light in neon-type lamps.

• Metal Fabrication: To create an inert gas shield during welding; to provide an oxygen- and nitrogen- free environment for annealing and rolling metals and alloys; and to flush molten metals to eliminate porosity in castings.

Tira Gas operated three Argon filling station in Cikarang-West Java, Tegal-Central Java, and Gresik-East Java to cover all the market in Indonesia.

Carbon Dioxide

Used in diverse applications covering many industries, including:

• Food and Beverage: Carbon dioxide is used in beverage carbonation. A natural anti-microbial, carbon dioxide is also used to increase the shelf life of juice and dairy products, protecting taste and texture, and reducing the need for preservatives, natural and artificial. Other applications include: food freezing and chilling, packaging, mixer and blender cooling, ingredient cooling and conveying, and in-transit refrigeration.

• Metal Fabrication: Commonly utilized as a shielding gas during welding. This prevents atmospheric contamination of molten weld metal during gas shielded electric arc welding process.

• Fire Fighting: Carbon dioxide smothers fires without damaging or contaminating materials and is used for fighting fires when water is ineffective, undesirable or unavailable.

Carbon Monoxide

As a component in calibration gas mixtures for environmental monitoring systems and industrial hygiene gas mixtures. In semiconductor fabrication: selective oxide etching in conjunction with C4F8. Used in the manufacturing of metal carbonyls. Tira Gas can supply CO through our 25 branch office in Indonesia with minimum purity 99.3%

Helium

Using for pressurization of space cryogenic tanks; cooling of magnet used in MRI; balloon inflation; leak detection; supra-conductivity.

Tira Gas have three kind of Helium products; Helium Industrial Grade, Helium High Purity (He HP) with grade 4.5 purity 99.995% and Helium Ultra High Purity (He UHP) with grade 5.0 purity 99.999%.

Hydrogen

Finds use in diverse applications covering many industries, including:

• Fuel Cells: used as a fuel to power fuel cell generators that create electricity through an electrochemical process in combination with oxygen.

• Food: to hydrogenate liquid oils (such as soybean, fish, cottonseed and corn), converting them to semisolid materials such as shortenings, margarine and peanut butter.

• Metal Production and Fabrication: to serve as a protective atmosphere in high-temperature operations such as stainless steel manufacturing; commonly mixed with argon for welding austenitic stainless. Also used to support plasma welding and cutting operations.

Tira Gas have three kind of Hydrogen products; Hydrogen Industrial Grade, Hydrogen High Purity (H2 HP) with grade 4.5 purity 99.995% and Hydrogen Ultra High Purity (H2 UHP) with grade 5.0 purity 99.999%.

Nitrogen

Finds use in diverse commercial applications, including:

• Concrete Cooling: To keep ready mixed concrete at the temperature needed to meet critical specifications.

• Food: To extend shelf-life in packaged foods by preventing spoilage from oxidation, mold growth, moisture migration and insect infestation; to rapidly freeze; and to refrigerate perishables during transport.

• Metal Production and Fabrication: To protect metals such as steel, copper and aluminum during annealing, carburizing and sintering operations in high temperature furnaces; to cool extrusion dies; and to shrink fit metal parts; utilized as a purge gas with stainless steel tube welding. Also used to support plasma cutting.

• Research and Health Services: To freeze and preserve blood, tissue, semen and other biological specimens; to freeze and destroy diseased tissue in cryosurgery and dermatology.

Tira Gas operated two Nitrogen filling station in Cikarang-West Java and Gresik-East Java to cover all the market in Indonesia.

Oxygen

Used in diverse applications covering many industries, including:

• Health Services: To resuscitate or, in combination with other gases, to anesthetize; but also essential to life-support systems used in emergencies or long-term treatment of patients with respiratory disorders.

• Metal Fabrication: To support oxyfuel cutting operations. Sometimes added in small quantities for shielding gases.

• Metal Production: To replace or enrich air, increasing combustion temperatures in ferrous and non-ferrous metals production; to create a hot flame in high-temperature welding torches used in cutting and welding.

• Pulp and Paper: To help manufacturers meet stringent environmental regulations in a variety of mill processes including delignification, bleaching, oxidative extraction, chemical recovery, white/black liquor oxidation and lime kiln enrichment.

• Steel Manufacturing: To enrich air and increase combustion temperatures in blast and open hearth furnaces; to raise steel temperatures and enhance recycling of scrap metal in electric arc furnaces; and to replace coke as the combustible in steel making.

Tira Gas operated nine Oxygen filling stations in Indonesia: Cikarang, Bandung, Tegal, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Gresik, Banyuwangi, Makassar, and Palu.
