Our Philosophy

Etymologically, axle-asia is derived from a compilation of two words, Axle and Asia. Axle

(axis) is a device to function as center of movement in a motor vehicle. Asia is the company’s

long term goal to spread its presence as a competent Insurance Broker in Asia.

As an axis, Axle philosophy is elaborated within the word AXLE which underlines the

operational working principle of axle-asia.

First. A (Accelerator) depicts axle-asia’s role in providing services for various Clients in order

for them to accelerate operational business result – an analogy taken from axle function in a

motor vehicle. Esentially, a prudent business should have a well-planned and coordinated

risk management. Whenever axle-asia takes over Clients’ risk handling in term of

identification, analysis, prevention, reduction or transfer of any kind of risk, Clients are able

to focus on their core competency.

Second. X (Xtra Care) reflects the strong dedication of axle-asia in order to deliver best

solution to its Clients. Clients are placed as the party who are entitled to receive first class

comprehensive insurance services, a commitment which will be fully supported by visionary

innovation and creativity.

Third. L (Leverage) is the commitment of axle-asia to take the role as the ”Insurance

Department” to the Clients. This commitment will ensure that the Clients will obtain

optimum benefits from any insurance policy placed through axle-asia. Optimalization of such

competitive advantage is the prime objective of axle-asia.

Fourth. E (Equitability) procreates an equal and balanced risk protection for the Clients. Fair

and efficient services will be mandatory for the Clients on any claim handling and settlement.

Insurance Market

Indonesia has approximately 100 General Insurers, of these at least there are 13 foreign joint

venture companies with international shareholding. Using credible insurers who can settle

losses in timely manner is of paramount importance to broking services. We would strongly

recommend the use of reputable local or joint venture companies operating in Indonesia as

their security is supported by strong local capacity and/or internationally accredited

reinsurances.

We have strong and close relationship with each of reputable local and joint venture

insurance companies.

In addition to our stringent security checks, underwriters are required to fulfil numerous

criteria.

The lead insurers must, in particular, be able to demonstrate a successful track record

in writing similar corporate programs and must have an excellent reputation in areas of

underwriting flexibility, loss control and service in the payment of claims.

Insurers must be able to demonstrate a competitive pricing attitude.

The initiating office of a selected insurer must be capable of committing all of its offices

to implement agreed terms and conditions.

Insurers must be receptive to innovative concepts.

Insurers must agree to allow open competition within the ranks of participating

markets.

axle-asia would also actively assist in the claim settlement and negotiation process.

Addressing Client’s Specific Risk Needs

Generic risk services such as off-the-shelf insurance policies fail to take into account industry and

organisational differences. They do not necessarily reduce individual exposure to loss, damage,

liability and other risks. Accordingly, such services are usually unsuitable to reduce an

organisation’s cost of risk.

We take the approach of first understanding each client’s needs, through risk identification and risk

quantification, then tailoring a specific approach to reduce the client’s cost of risk.

The approach incorporates risk control, risk funding/insurance and risk monitoring.

To ensure effective delivery of our services, we adopt a team approach.

This provides clients with access to a team of skilled individuals consisting of at least two senior

executives who are familiar with the client’s business, insurance and risk management program.

This approach, coupled with the strict adherence to established and proven service standards,

provides a structured framework which ensures:

the smooth transfer of existing insurance and outstanding claims

set performance parameters that can be measured against a pre-determined timetable

a logical, step-by-step procedure that is pre-agreed and monitored by our client.

Our Integrated Services Approach

This integrated services approach reflected our closed relationship with each of our Clients, with

both bottom-up and top-down approaches.
