WELDING

Gedik Welding was established in Turkey in 1963 and is now a global industry leader in the field of welding consumables and equipments. Under its internationally – registered trademarks GeKa, GeKaTec, GeKaMac and GeKaRobot; the company manufactures about 90.000 ton / year of superior quality coated stick electrodes, gas-shielded arc welding wires, submerged arc welding wires, submerged arc welding fluxes and flux cored weld-ing wires as well as brazing rods, special repair and maintenance products.

Gedik is one of the largest manufacturers in Europe and is rewarded with “Golden Star” since 2011 because of its success in exporting to more than 80 countries around the world.


Gedik is able willing and fully prepared to explore alternative solutions in order to serve and satisfy its customers in all industrial sectors such as; electric power plants, pipelines, bridge construction, machine manufacturing, pressure vessels, ship construction, automative industry, storage facilities, platforms, steel construction, aircraft industry and wind energy. The company is therefore able to supply customized welding products and innovative engineering solutions, tailor-made to respond to the diverse needs of its clients.

Participants of training and certification programs receive TS-EN ISO 9712 international non-destructive expertisecertificate approved by TURKAK with accreditation according to TS EN ISO / IEC 17024 standards.


VALVES AND FITTINGS

Gedik has been manufacturing valves and fittings under TERMO brand since 1967. Gedik Valve, having advanced sand casting and precision casting capabilities, is the biggest integrated valve manufacturing company of Turkey withits 25,000 m manufacturing facilities located in Hendek/Sakarya. The headquarter of the company is based in Pendik/İstanbul.

Gedik Valve, meets the demands of a wide range of sectors including industrial facilities, power plants, chemistry, petroleum, shipbuilding and construction for steam, thermal oil, hot water, natural gas, chemical fluids, seawater and HVAC applications.


Gedik valves and fittings having technologically and functionally advanced design features are manufac-tured based on environment and user friendly princi-ples such as high energy efficiency, improved safety and low maintenance.

Gedik valves and armatures are used in wide range of sectors including industrial facilities, power plants, chemis-try, petroleum, shipbuilding and construction.

VALVES AND FITTINGS


Gedik Casting is active in Sand Casting, Investment Casting and Valve sectors since 1967 is the biggest integrated company of Turkey in casting and valve sectors with its 25,000 m2 manufacturing facilities located in Hendek/Sakarya. The headquarter of the company is based in Pendik/İstanbul.

Gedik Casting, meets the demands of a wide range of sectors including automotive, machinery, defense industry, energy and construction by casting a great number of materials such as cast iron, ductile iron (sphero), steel, stainless steel, bronze, aluminum and copper alloys.

CASTING


Investment Casting Technology has become known in Turkey by Gedik Casting in 1982 and it has been efficiently used in many industries for developing high-tech products. Today Gedik Casting is still serving to its customers with highly qualified engineers and with the aid of modern production and quality control equipment.

We use Casting Simulation Software before we make pattern equipment and dyes in order to eliminate costly mis-takes. We design gates, risers and test them out before making initial casting. We can see how casting will solidify and this helps us to shorten lead times, produce higher quality and improve yield. All of this means lower costs, higher profits and improved marketability for our customers.

ISTANBUL GEDİK UNIVERSITYIstanbul GEDİK University was established on 06.04.2010 with a Decree of the Board of Ministers. Law no. 6114 on 03.03.2011 reorganized the University under the title “T.C. Istanbul GEDİK University”. Presently here are four faculties, three institutes, one vocational school, eight research and application centers and a school of foreign languages at Istanbul GEDİK University.
