Crezza S.r.l. was founded in 1992 and since then it has been active on the market of in concrete prefabrication with its great variety of products such as:

• certificated road safety barriers and

for construction sites • precast concrete segments for lining tunnels • artificial tunnels • suspended, lateral and buried escape routes for

tunnels • anti-noise systems • retaining walls • double-walled elements • stairs • channels for water collection and treatment • manufactures on specific design.

In parallel with the prefabrication it has developed the construction company’s activity for the realisation of infrastructural works of national and international importance, both outdoors and underground.

The company also operates in the sector of Passive Fire Protection in tunnels through the design of elements for suspended or lateral escape routes.

In 2002 Crezza, jointly with some other operators in the sector, has created A.B.E.S.C.A. – Association, Barriers, Elements, Safety, Concrete – whose mission is to invest in research and development of in concrete road safety barriers for the passive protection of road users.

ROAD

BARRIERS

The concrete road wall barriers are used to delimit the road traffic by ensuring the safety and the protection of all road users.

The barrier profile, variable accordingly to the destination of use and the performance criteria, is furthermore designed to minimize the damage to vehicles, in particular to motorcycles, in case of accidental contacts; for this reason, if compared to the belt and steel post barriers, the concrete barriers are more reliable and safer.

COATING

The precast concrete segments with a self-supporting round cross-section are generally used as disposable formwork for the lining of widening sections, current sections, bypass and safe places in the tunnel as well as the realisation of artificial tunnels.

Once placed the elements constituting the self-supporting ring of two, three or four pivots it is possible to carry out operations of concreting owing near the precast construction.

Among the main advantages: • tunnel free to the transit • exposed face with high standards • no use of traditional metallic

formworks with subsequent cost savings

• reduced timing for execution of the work.

The precast structural concrete segments are used for the realisation of artificial tunnels with a polycentric or constant radius section.

During the mounting, the single segments are stabilised by contrast and the pouring of the keystone makes the structure monolithic.

Among the main advantages: • tunnel free to the transit • exposed face with high standards • possibility of immediate

waterproofing application on the exterior surface

• quick assembly • possibility of “flute-beak” entrance

ROUTES

The suspended or lateral “escape route” is a sized concrete structure for an easy emergency exit from the tunnel.

The structure is trapezoidal or rectangular, accordingly to the needs, and typically connected to the tunnel through tie rods or bolted plates.

The structure can also be protected by materials able to reduce the temperatures in case of fire (Passive Fire Protection).

The panels and the plates predalles are used for: • wall-covering • covering poles/retaining walls (Berlin

wall method) • plates for ceilings • plates to be used as formwork.

Among the main advantages: a quick laying, the many kinds of surface finishing of the exposed face and the self-supporting.

SOUND- ABSORBING

SYSTEMS

The sound-absorbing panels consist of a lightened highly sound absorbing concrete layer and a concrete bearing layer.

They can be incorporated into metal profiles or installed on bearing elements (concrete walls, etc.) and their function is to ensure the acoustic protection.

Among the main advantages: • great sound insulating and sound

absorbing properties • minimum encumbrance • durability and no maintenance • adaptability to any design • availability of different colours and types

of facades to reduce impact on the landscape.

The precast concrete structures can satisfy the heaviest load conditions thanks to the high-quality materials used.

Among the main advantages: • fast setting speed • installation also in seismic zones • wide range of exposed face: smooth,

clad in natural stone - both an “opus incertum” and regular or worked by moulds to be chosen.

ELEMENTS

The concrete double-walled elements in compliance with the European Regulations concerning anti-seismicity can bear very heavy charges with superficial coatings of variable height.

The setting speed, which allows to reduce the times of the open excavation, makes these precast structures particularly appreciated.

STAIRS

The precast concrete stairs, smooth, metallic disposable formwork and realised according to a specific design, can have different inclinations and dimensions.

Among the main advantages: • a more savings of time than the

traditional cast in place • quick assembly • precision of the steps • plastering or covering of the steps not

necessary • excellent quality/ price ratio.

BEAMS

The precast concrete structural elements such as beams, pillars, etc. are made in slow reinforcement concrete and used for the construction of buildings and civil engineering works.

Produced to specific commissions, they can have different dimensions and meet all Customer’s needs.

Among the main products for water collection, treatment and water surface drainage, are sewers, concrete shafts, ducted plates and tanks in vibrated concrete of different dimensions.

Widely used in airports and interpor- ts, the sewers are used for collecting, the drainage and conveying rainwater.

U CHANNEL

Among the elements of street furnishing in concrete are the road bollards, the tables, the benches and the various elements for parks and equipped areas.

The high-quality standards and the possibility to produce customised products ensure the Customer’s satisfaction.

Our company is specialized in the field of Passive Fire Protection in tunnels with activities like: • study, design and verification of the fire

resistance of the protective systems for the structures in tunnels, in accordance to the European and International Norms

• certification of passive fire resistance systems

• on-site installation of precast fire- resistive systems.

We study and design innovative solutions for the fire protection in tunnels, with a particular attention to the selection of the best materials available on the market.
