• Serious violent crime – 9.4% reduction• Serious acquisitive crime – 11.5% reduction• Burglary – 13.7% reduction

Police Crime Commissioners (TF)
• Approved on 15th Sept 2011 through Police Reform & Social Responsibility Bill.
• Public will take to the polls to vote for one person to oversee policing, a Police Crime Commissioner
• First election on the 15th Nov 2012
• To take office on the 22nd Nov 2012
= Community having a greater say as to how their areas are policed and tackle community safety issues

The PCC will:
• Appoint the Chief Constable (CC) and hold them to account
• Set out a 5 year Crime and Police Plan in consultation with CC to reflect local priorities.
• Making community safety grants to other organisations (including but not limited to CSPs)
• Freedom to commission services
• Police and Crime panels – to scrutinise
