Double participation in recycling households from 25% to 50%
Quadruple recycled tons From 10,000 tons to 43,600 tons each

Increase average household recycling amounts from 6 to 30 lbs per month

Residents began asking for weekly collection They find they have less garbage, more recyclables Convenience of single-stream and large cart Anxious for reduced cost of service
Council approves Phase1 of OneDay Dallas 23,000 households in far north Dallas Started March 2008 One cart for recycling, one cart for garbage Collected on SAME one day of the week
