Back to School Traffic Safety
School is starting 26 Aug 19! School age children will soon be moving to and from
school. This presents a significant safety concern in the housing areas. You can
help by doing the following –
Parents, discuss with your children safe pedestrian and bicycle habits.
SLOW DOWN in the housing areas. The speed limit is 30 KPH!
Drivers, pay special attention while driving through housing areas. Expect
children to enter the roadways unexpectedly.
Passing loading and unloading school buses on U.S. Forces installations
is prohibited.

Back to School Traffic Safety
Traffic flow on Hainerberg is still modified due to ongoing construction.
These changes have and will continue to cause traffic congestion. You can
help reduce this congestion by doing the following –
Parents, please consider having your children use the DODDS provided buses
to get to and from school.
If you must use the designated school drop off points, have your children
ready to exit the vehicle on the passenger side before arriving.
Use only the designated school drop off points if you are transporting your
children to school. Do not just stop in the road wherever you feel like. This
causes additional delays and exposes your children to additional risks.
Watch for public affairs notices regarding traffic adjustments.
