The Cromwell Trust Scholarship Funded by The Cromwell Trust of the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham Purpose: The purpose of this award is to assist aspiring and deserving individuals in furthering their training, career advancement, and/or education, primarily in the performing arts and musical theatre. Applicant criteria: Applicants should plan to utilize the award to further their artistic career or education. This could be to attend a degreed or certified program at an educational institution, conservatory, or other non- profit institution providing special studies, or specific needs related to professional advancement/ development. No age restrictions apply. Preference will be given to those with involvement in Red Mountain Theatre Company. Awards must be paid to an educational institution or U.S. based non- profit. Please note that the language, spelling, and clarity of thought within the application are very important. Applicant must: Complete this application, including creative submission, and submit by March 16, 2020: Via email attachment to [email protected] Demonstrate financial need by providing the following documentation: o If applying for assistant to two- or four-year higher education institution: Student Aid Report (SAR) showing Expected Family Contribution (EFC) obtained by completing the FAFSA o If applying for non-degree studies/workshops or professional development: If you are primarily supported by your parents, provide their most recent Federal Income Tax Return Form 1040 Note: Financial Need is criteria for selection but not as defined by Federal Guidelines. If you support yourself financially, provide your most recent Federal Income Tax Return Form 1040, your most recent W2 or, if you do not have either, other documentation noting your financial situation. Please white- or black-out social security numbers prior to submitting documentation. Submit at least one (1) letter of reference/character statement from an adult other than relatives (preferably from teachers, coaches, trainers, and employers).
