COMMUNITY EASTER EGG HUNT

SPRING 2016 FBCW - FAMILY MINISTRIES

Community Easter Egg Hunt Invite your friends and family to join us for a spring day at the park. We will begin registration at 11 AM. We will have egg hunts for a variety of age groups. Lunch will be provided free. There will be inflatable games and prize drawings. If you would be interested in helping with this event, please contact Tony Foreman.

Storyteller Training If you are working in any way with our children or youth we want to encourage you to block off April 9 for this exciting event. We should always strive to communicate God’s story in creative, memorable, and life changing ways. Steven James is a well-known author and teacher. Registration will open soon. This is free to anyone involved in an FBCW teaching ministry. For others there will be a small fee for this all-day event and lunch.

Guatemala Mission Trip We are teaming up with Guatemala-Based Promise Land Ministries to meet the needs of the families around Lake AFASDF. This trip is open to older children, if a parent/guardian accompanies them. We are woking on details, but we will be participating in building houses, VBS, and teaching while in Guatemala. This trip will cost approximately $1500 per person. We will conduct several fundraisers. There are several items that must be taken care of prior to the trip so if you are interested please see Tony Foreman as soon as possible.

Guatemala Mission Trip Building Fundraisers It costs $1500 to build a house in Guatemala and $150 to put a safe stove in a house. We would like our children at FBCW to build a house with a stove. We will be using our Sunday morning children’s offerings to go toward this project. We currently have $270 in hand. We would like to raise an additional $1380 for a house and stove. Please encourage your children to participate in this project each Sunday. Children have the opportunity to give each week. We are also going to conduct an M&M container fundraiser. Children will receive a container on February 14, and it will be due back on Sunday, April 10. Each container will hold about $15 in quarters. If we can fill ten tubes that will buy a stove. If we can fill one hundred, that will build a house for a Guatemalan family.

Ohio Mission Trip - Midwestern Children’s Home This is a mission trip that is just 3 1/2 hours away, but will still make an impact and allow families to get involved. We will stay on the campus of Midwestern Children’s Home and work on projects on their facilities for three days. Families of all ages are able to participate. Middle and high school students can participate in this without their parents going on the trip. MCH has cabins that we will stay in while we are there. Space will be limited so register with Tony Foreman early. The cost for this trip will be $$165/person. We will also enjoy a Reds game and a trip to King’s Island on the trip. These tickets are included in the price of the trip. There will five meals that will be an additional cost. This trip will be in late June; exact dates are still be finalized.
