AMMA FOUNDATION - TAYLOR’S UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SCHOLARSHIP JULY / AUGUST 2017 INTAKES TERMS & CONDITIONS 1. This Scholarship is awarded by Taylor’s University to deserving students from the Indian community. 2. Applicable for Malaysians only. 3. This Scholarship is applicable for the July and August 2017 intakes only. 4. All applicants must meet the minimum entry requirements into the selected programme. 5. All applications are based on ACTUAL examination results. 6. All scholarships, bursaries and grants offered by Taylor’s University to any student are at the absolute discretion of Taylor’s University Selection Committee. 7. Students are entitled to only ONE (1) scholarship / bursary / waiver at any one time, including sponsorship from other institutions/bodies. The highest quantum will automatically apply. 8. This Scholarship offered cannot be transferred to any other programmes at Taylor’s University unless with written permission from the Financial Aid & Scholarships Department. 9. Recipient of this scholarship must complete the entire period of education in Malaysia. 10. Interview is required for shortlisted applicants. 11. In the event the student withdraws from the programme before completion, this Scholarship will be discontinued immediately. 12. Scholarship recipients are required to meet a minimum CGPA 3.00 at the end of each academic year in order to enjoy the scholarship in the subsequent year. Failure to meet such academic requirement will have the scholarship / study grant reviewed / terminated. 13. Where applicable, scholarship recipients will be required to sign an agreement accepting the terms and conditions of the scholarship. 14. Taylor’s University reserves the right to review the Scholarship awarded. In exceptional cases, this Scholarship may be withdrawn at any time in the event of gross misconduct or failure to meet the required academic grades. 15. The Selection Committee reserves the right to reject incomplete application forms. 16. All applications must be received by the stipulated deadline. Late submissions will not be considered. 17. The terms and conditions of this scholarship may be modified and amended from time to time as deemed appropriate by Taylor’s University and / or AMMA Foundation. 18. On all matters pertaining to the award of this Scholarship, the decision of Taylor’s University shall be final and binding. AMMA Foundation - Taylor’s University Community Development Scholarship provides educationopportunities for the financially challenged highachieving Malaysian Indian students to study at Taylor’s University, a world-class leader in education in Malaysia.The AMMA Foundation was established as a company by guarantee and not having share capital in 1980. Its principal objective is to assist needy Malaysians to pursue their studies at approved institutions of higher learning in Malaysia. The Foundation is a not-for-profit charitable organisation with tax-exempt status that offers study loan and scholarship to talented and deserving students who are financially challenged. The Foundation believes that one of the most tangible ways to uplift the general economic status of the community would be to upgrade the educational level of our young people at universities and colleges.
