Isaiah 9:6: For to us a child isborn, and to us a son is given . . .
And he will be called . . . Prince ofPeace.
Do you know someonewho is at odds with afriend or family
member? Are you concerned aboutthe news in our world today? Andwhat is the state of your own soul?Happy in Jesus? Are you feelingthe peace of God in your heart andlife?
During the Christmas seasonone of the names of Jesus comes tothe forefront. Jesus is the Prince ofPeace. Ephesians 2:14 says, “He isour peace”
We can have peace in ourhearts. John 16:33a tells us that“in him we will have peace.” IIThessalonians 3:16 reads, “Nowmay the Lord of peace himself giveyou peace at all times and in everyway. The Lord be with all of you.”The first step to finding this peaceis to invite the Prince of Peace intoour hearts and ask for forgiveness.Jesus promised that “ if anyone bein Christ, he is a new creation; theold has gone, the new has come. IICorinthians 5:17.
I recently attended a Christmasprogram where teenagers per-formed both sacred and secularmusic accompanied by piano, gui-
tar, and percussion. As I watchedthe director, I got a picture of peaceand harmony. Not all the voiceswere singing the same notes as theywere singing in at least four parts(soprano, alto, tenor and bass). And yet it all blended together tomake a harmonious, beautifulsound. I also was made to thinkabout each teenager who was fol-lowing the director, coming in on aphrase together, cutting off a wordtogether and even using softnessand loudness to portray the feelingsin the song. They weren't doingtheir own thing!
This leads us to having harmo-ny and peace within our relation-
ships. Proverbs 14:30 says, “Aheart at peace brings life to thebody . . .” I Corinthians 7:15 reads,“God has called us to live inpeace.” This could mean giving upour “rights”, forgiving someone, orjust deciding not to be offended.Matthew 5:7 reminds us - “Blessedare the peacemakers”.
But what about world peace?John 16:33b Jesus said, “ . . .In thisworld you will have trouble. Buttake heart! I have overcome theworld. There might be wars andrumors of war, but we can have a“peace that passes understanding”because we have the “Prince ofPeace” living in our hearts.W

improvements in both facilitiesand ministry opportunities. Wepraise God for bringing us to thismilestone.
Some exciting events arebeing planned for this celebrationyear. E.Morris Sider is writing anupdated version of the Camp'shistory in book form. What do you think of aRoxbury Camp Auxiliary? Thisidea was suggested to me and Iwant to throw out the gauntlet, soto speak. The purpose would beto have a group of people who
love Roxbury Camp come togeth-er to do beautification projectsaround the camp. I don't want togive specifics because the thoughtis to have this group use a freshset of eyes to see areas that couldbe improved.
Would this group be allwomen or both men and women?Would you like to be in leader-ship or “just one of the gang”?
If you are interested, pleasesend an e-mail to me [email protected] or call 717-375-4600. Your thoughts will begreatly appreciated .
On Saturday, December 5, Ihad an accident when I missed astep and fell down two moresteps, breaking three ribs and myright wrist. Surgery on the wristwas December 9. Your prayerswill be appreciated as I heal.W

More than once thisweek, I have heardexpressions about
how fast this year has gone andabout the fact that 2010 is almosthere. We also feel that time doesseem to fly when we are busyministering to people here atCamp. While there are not asmany groups and people herethese days of December, there is
still plenty of work to be done. One of our current projects is
determining how to proceed withthe maintenance and improve-ments needed at the SunbeamCenter. At this point the bestoption seems to be to install allnew trusses on the existing wallstructure and then do the roofingreplacement. Further plans toenclose the open sides with win-
dows and possibly air condition-ing the building are also beingdiscussed. Different trusses willmake it possible to insulate perbuilding code.
Pray for wisdom for the prop-erty managers and the Camp staffas we seek to do what is best forRoxbury Camp and God'sKingdom.
Have a blessed Christmas.W

NOUGATS OF TRUTH FROM THE FRANKLINS:
Reviving Romantic Love comes by 1. Seeking God and His work personally and together;2.Gaining a knowledge of spiritual warfare; 3. Finding God's power to change through humili-ty. Learn to say, “I'm sorry”.
“Radical honestyencourages deeperintimacy, but lack of
openness bringspain, distrust and
division.”
“The enemy has norecourse in the face of
repentance.”
“Independence is a very destructiveform of inconsideration. When we actin a way that disregards our spouseand their needs, dreams and desires,we destroy love.”
