How did we start?

Some of us new eachother, others not. So we had to meet eachother. That happened in Calafell in 2011!!!!

One of the important decissions was that communication and pr is very important and should start immediately.

Main decissions were:1. We need a good website which is a platform at the same time2. We have to use social media in a good way3. We need a community manager who helps us with new ways of

communication – especially social media4. We need products for communication like a facebookaccount,

paper products like brochures and so on

The first meeting after Calafell was at the Hunebedcentrum in Borger, the Netherlands. The main topic was about communication and pr.

The most important tool: website

Products

Many products were produced, made by Magda Zielinska• Shields• Flyers• Brochures• Infopanels• Banners• And so on• Most of the products were common ones but every partner also got

some individual products

Community manager

• Made us aware of the power of social media• Is a link between us all• Helped us with using social media• Remembered us many times about using social media• But ….. was not always easy. We have to look at ourselves!!!!

Before Roeland. Help!! After Roeland. Happy faces!!

Conclusions of the community manager after 5 years

• The communication manager should be part of the MT of the project • PR and communication is getting more and more important in EU projects. In

INTERREG projects the role of a communication manager is nowadays anobliged job inside the MT.

• With the knowlegde we have now it would have been good to involve thecommunication manager in maintaining the corporate identity. Now sometimesthere was to much freedom for the partners to create their own products.

• For the next project it would be good that in the first year their is a webinar forthe pr people for making good appointments with eachother

• Most important: the communicationmanager is as good as the partners allowhim to do his job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
