Preparing
1. Alignment oft the measurement object with on board circular spirit level.
2. Connection hose connected with valve
To open the valve turn
the blue lever
counterclockwise 90 °

3. Filling of the water.
For longer periods of measuring it is advisable to use distilled water.
‐ Put one measuring column to a low position, e.g. floor.
‐ Hold the hose higher. Pour the liquid slowly. The liquid has always to rise in the tube. This avoids
bubbles.
‐ Level up the measuring column. At
the same time pour the liquid
slowly into the system.
‐ Level both measuring columns to
the same height.
‐ Fill the system until booth measuring columns are
filled 50% with the liquid.

Depth Micrometer
Attention: The measuring range of the depth micrometer is 25mm in maximum.
Moving of the Measurement Rod: (To adjust the measurement rod to the current water level)
Open the clamping sleeve
Open the clamping screw

Move the measuring rod to the desired
position
Lock the clamping screw
Lock the clamping sleeve
Attention
Failure to comply with this order may result in serious damage to the thread.

Measurement without depth micrometer
Measurement
Reading the column 1 directly on the scale: 68 mm
Reading the column 1 directly on the scale: 59.5 mm
Result:
Measuring 1 is 8.5 mm higher then measuring 2
Attention Measurement errors may be caused by the following points:
• fouling or calcification of the system
• different air pressure between the measuring stations, caused by draft, air conditioner,
or by varying air pressure in two rooms.

Measurement without depth micrometer
Measuring 1:
Set the depth micrometer on the measurement column
Move the measurement rod close tot he water level.
Turn the measurement sleeve and move
the measurement rod lower until
the water surface
contacts the needle.
Read out the value
Manual Communicating Water Level 77
page 8
Read out the value
The thimble scale shows the result:
In this case : 7.83 mm
Measuring 2:
Move the depth micrometer from measuring 1 to measuring 2
Repeat the measurement according measurement1
Read out the value at the thimble scale:
21.81 mm
Calculate the difference of measurement 1‐ measurement 2
Difference: 7.83‐21.81= 13.98 mm
Point of measurement 2 is 13.98 mm higher then Point of
measurement 2
It is advisable to repeat the measurement 2‐3 times and calculate the average.

Care Instructions
Drain the system after use.
Clean the equipment and tubing with cleaning vinegar (max concentration : 8%)
Allow to dry and then kept in the wooden box.
