All praise and thanksgiving (be)to AllahWhogave us life

after(He had) given us deathand to Him.(is) the resurrection.

***** While entering bathroom / toilet *****

O AllahVerily, Iseek refugewith You

fromthe foul male and female devils / evil and all malicious things.

***** When coming out of bathroom / toilet *****

(O Allah, I ask) Your forgiveness.All praise (is)for Allahwhoremoved

from mesuffering / injurious things / pollutionand kept me in health.

***** At the time of donning a new garment *****

All praise and thanksgiving (be)to Allah Whoclothed me (with) thisand provided me (with) it

(from) withoutany powerfrom me[and] norany might/ strength.

***** At the beginning of meal *****

or if one forgetsto say in thestart, then

wIn the name (of) Allahin its beginningand its end.

***** At the end of meal *****

All praise and thanksgiving (be)to AllahWhofed usand gave us to drink

and made usfrom (among)the Muslims.

In the name of AllahI trusted /reliedupon Allah.There is no strength

and no powerexcept with Allah.O Allah I trulyseek refuge with You

zzlest I go astray,or be astrayed (by others);or I slipor I am made to slip

or I do wrongor I be wronged;or I act foolishlyor (anyone) should act foolishly with me.

***** When Entering house *****

O AllahVerily Ibeg of You

the good (of)(my) entrance,andthe good (of)(my) going out.

w In the name of Allahwe entered;And in the name of Allahwe came out

wand on Allah,our Lordwe did resign (trust & depend).

***** While Entering Mosque *****

w In the name (of) Allah;And Blessingsand peace(be) upon the Messenger of Allah.

O Allah! Openfor methe gates (of)Your mercy.

***** When Coming forth from the Mosque *****

O AllahI trulyask Youfrom Your bounty.

***** When getting up from a group discussion / company *****

Glory be to YouO Allah;and with Your praise,I witness thatthere is no deity

but You.I seek Your forgivenessand I turn in repentenceto You.

***** When Riding *****

wGlory be to (Him) Whomade subservientfor us this (ride)while we were not

able to control it;and verily weto our Lordindeed are to return.

***** Said at the end of speech / meeting / activity *****

Our concluding supplication (is)thatall praise & thanksgiving

belong to Allah,The Lord of the universe

***** Said upon rising / retiring and after every Salah *****

I seek the forgive-ness of AllahThe One, (for whom)there is no deity

except HimThe Ever LivingThe Sustainer and The Protector,

and I turn in repentanceto Him.

***** Prayers on visiting the sick *****

Removethis harm / ailmentO Lord (of) mankind,and heal!

You (are)the healer.(There is) noHealingexcept

Your healing.A healing(that will) not leave behindany sickness.

I askAllah, the Supreme,Lord of the throneto cure you.

***** After hearing bad news *****

Verily! Weare for Allahand Verily! Weunto Him

(are) to return.O Allah,reward mein my affliction

and requite(for) me(with something) betterthan this (affliction).

***** On visiting the graves *****

Peace (be) on you,O dwellers of these graves!May Allah forgiveus and you.

You(are) our forerunnersand we(are) at your heels.

***** Start of Friday prayers *****

Verily, All praise and thanksgiving (are)due to Allah,we ask for His aid

w wand we beseech forgiveness from Himand we seek refuge with Allah

against the evils (of)Our selvesWhosoever Allah guidesno one can lead him astray;

and whomsoeverHe deflects,no one can put him on the straight path***** Common sayings *****

O AllahYou (are)my Lord.There is no deity.except You

You created meand I am your slave.And I (am)faithful to the pledge (of devotion)

wand promise which I have given to Youto the best of my capability.I seek refugewith You

against the evil (fearful consequences) ofthat whichI did (of my sins)

I acknowledgefor Youall Your bountieson meandI confessmy sins.

Hence, (O Allah) forgive me (my sins);VerilyNone (can) forgivethe sinsexcept You.

O Allahin Your nameI dieand I live.

***** Before sleep (Another prayer) *****

O Allahsave / protect me(from) your punishmenton the day You will raiseYour slaves.

***** Before sleep (One more prayer) *****

win Your namemy LordI placedmy side,and by YouI raise it up;
