- Also known as Electronic mail.
- It is used to send messages especially digital messages from one person to another using the internet.
- No need to download the file in order that the messages are to be seen.
Examples:Email
- a place or a website that contains mainly of articles that can help you in research.
- often written by people who are interested in sharing their view, opinions, and comments regarding the matter.
Importance of blog:• Helpful in research• Gaining more
information• Developing your
writing skills• Interaction with
different people.
Online Chat
- One way of communicating with your friends, family or even relatives using the internet.
- Where you can talk to each and everyone even though you’re not physically present there.
- Often used by people especially the teenagers.
- Can be used as a transaction in some things you want.
Social Bookmarking
It is a website where you can tag and saved it on your web.
You can share bookmarks easily because it is online and you can share it with your friends.
Allow us to browse with items that are popular using this.
Examples of Social bookmarking
Websites:
URL Also known as uniform
resource locator.
Often used with http.
Constitutes a reference to a source.
A URL is technically a type of uniform resource identifier (URI).
Streaming
A way used to transfer or share data so it can be seen in a stable stream.
Important to people because of its availability and no need to download the file first before viewing it.
In order for a good streaming, you must have a stable stream that processes the files.
Podcast
Also known as netcast
Able to listen the file once download.
A digital recording or medium that contain audios, videos, or even PDF files.
Downloaded can be either in the computer or mobile phones.
VoIp• Also known as Voice over
Internet protocol.
• A technology used to deliver voice messages and multimedia using the internet.
• A standard set for delivering voice messages and other voice communications.
Examples of VoIp Protocols:
WikiApplication using the web that
allow people to add information, elaborate and delete ideas.
The most popular wiki on the web is known as the “Wikipedia”.
It is important in finding information in research or any matter you want to know.
Social Networking
Many different websites that allow people to interact with one another using the internet.
Used to communicate with people in the modern times.
Important in finding information that can help in education.
Often used by teenagers.
WWWKnown as the World
Wide Web.It precedes the URL
addresses.This “www”
corresponds the data received by the browser.
Can be called a system of different hypertext documents.
HTMLAlso known as the
Hyper Text Markup Language.
Used in creating web pages.
It is displayed in the web browser.
Consists of tags and angles brackets.
Web feedAlso known as the news
feed.
Used to provide updated contents.
Aggregation is a term used if you are making a collection of web feeds.
It is easier in monitoring websites.
