Last Column Seasonrsquos Greetings everyone Hope you all had a terrific Thanksgiving I am looking forward to the upcoming Holidays and to 2015 Wow this year has gone by so fast I had so much fun this year as Commodore hard to believe this is my last column Thank you so much For those of you who did not make it to the PYDP this year you missed a great party QCYC graciously opened their doors to us for our annual Dinner and Auction The food was put on by QCYCrsquos Chef Willie and it was amazing Members Grant amp Giselle Warner organized the dinner and did a fabulous job A very big thank you to Tom Youngs Vic Portolese and PC Paul Quinn for handling the auction side All and all it was a big success A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Seattle Childrenrsquos Hospital Looking back on my year as Commodore brought some great memories for Julie and I We had such a great time We
had so many fun events and it was nice to become closer to all of you as well I also had a great mentors to help me throughout the year PC Paul Quinn PC Dennis Kroger PC Al Heerensperger and I know there were plenty more members that helped me throughout the year They all told me to relax and have fun ldquoWe got your backrdquo I did relax had fun and surprisingly it was not that much work Thank you to all of my event hosts and co-hosts for making my year go by smooth as silk You guys made me look good I cannot say enough about how much fun I have had this year as Commodore I have learned a lot Itrsquos been so nice to get to know all you more and I look forward to more get-togethers This club has done so much for me and I am grateful to be a part of so many peoplersquos lives THANKYOU Looking forward I hope to see many of you at my last
meeting as Commodore at the Eastlake Bar and Grill and more importantly the Commodores Ball This should be an Epic affair with dinner dancing and general hob-knobbing at the Hotel Deca in the University District Please come and join us for a night of FUN If you are staying at the hotel donrsquot forget to bring your HHYC PJrsquos for the after party Julie and I are also looking forward to more great times with you all We will be hosting an event or two in 2015 and hoping to see everyone on the water Stay safe and Happy Boating GO HAWKS James
