Verrimus Commercial TSCM

(Bug Sweep) Training Courses

Verrimus has a long and successful

history of training government, military

and law enforcement personnel from

around the world in the detection,

identification and pin point location of

technical surveillance devices.

These training courses have been, and

still are, restricted to government

agencies.

Verrimus however, have noticed the

proliferation of TSCM, bug sweeping,

training being offered to non-

government personnel by numerous

companies in the UK. Having

researched some of these courses we

have been shocked by the standard of

the content and delivery being used.

In short, the vast majority of the TSCM,

bug sweeping, training courses being

offered to the public are not fit for

purpose, and in some cases are down

right fraudulent in their claims.

For these reasons, Verrimus has

decided to create and offer professional

TSCM bug sweeping training courses

commercially, to allow commercial

organisations and members of the

public to be able to purchase TSCM bug

sweep training that is fit for purpose to

properly protect privacy.

This brochure explains the courses

available, our training facilities and the

cost of our commercial training

courses.

TRAINING CENTRE

Verrimus has a dedicated TSCM training centre in

Newcastle upon Tyne. Our training centre allows us to

deliver the most sophisticated and realistic TSCM training

in the world…

Verrimus’s TSCM Training Centre is stocked with

hundreds of thousands of pounds of the worlds most

up to date TSCM equipment, to give our students the

best possible opportunity to get hands on experience

with the industry’s most current equipment.

We also have very basic equipment sets to allow

students with a limited budget or limited threat

picture to train at a level that will benefit them when

they leave.

Our live target areas are real residences, offices,

boardrooms, vehicles, boats and aircraft. These

training areas are pre-loaded with technical

surveillance attacks so our students train and

practice in real world scenarios with real time

attacks.

TSCM Awareness Course

2 Days – Newcastle upon Tyne

This 2 day course is for personnel that

require an understanding of technical and

cyber surveillance threats, countermeasure

methodology, detection principals and

mitigation strategies.

TSCM Foundation


The TSCM foundation course is for persons wanting

to carry out TSCM at a low threat level who have no

previous experience. The course covers

understanding technical surveillance threats, basic

countermeasures equipment and basic operational

techniques for sweeping residences, offices and

vehicles for low level attacks.

• Verrimus’s commercial TSCM (Bug Sweeping) courses are for commercial threats only. Verrimus does not provide any instruction on how to counter legitimate Government technical surveillance operations.

Commercial TSCM Operator


The Commercial TSCM Operators course is

for those that want to conduct Technical

Surveillance Counter Measures in a

commercial setting. Either as part of a

company, or selling the service as an

individual. The course covers all aspects of

TSCM and will fully equip students with the

skills to be able to detect, identify and pin

point locate any COTS (Commercial Off The

Shelf) attack.

Tracker Detection

1 Day – Newcastle upon Tyne

A one day training module that instructs

students on how to detect, identify and locate

tracking devices installed in road vehicles.

GSM Detection


One day training module that instructs

students in the operational methodology

and technology required to detect,

identify and pin point locate active and

passive GSM based attacks.

RF Threat Detection

Spectrum Analysis


A two day module looking at how to detect,

identify and locate Radio Frequency (RF) based

technical surveillance attacks, using Spectrum

Analysis and direction finding.

Wi-Fi Threat Detection


A one day module looking at the operational

principal and technology to enable a TSCM

Operator to detect, identify and pin point

locate a Wi-Fi enabled technical surveillance

attack.

TSCM – Thermal Emission Analysis


The 1 day Thermal Emission Analysis

instructs a student on how to analyse the

target environment for attacks by detecting

thermal anomalies.

Telephone Threat Detection


This 2 day module looks at how to detect,

identify and pin point locate technical

surveillance attacks on telephone systems.

Data Network Threat Detection


A one day module that instructs students on

technical surveillance threats to data

networks and the technology and operational

principal required to detect, identify and pin

point locate them.

Bluetooth Threat Detection


This module will enable a student to be able to

detect, identify and pinpoint locate any hostile

Bluetooth enabled device.

Physical Search


An intensive 2 day module which covers

operational principal and methodology of

physical search of multiple environments

including; Buildings, Road Vehicles and

Aircraft.

Mobile Phone Threat Detection


A one day training module on mobile phone

threats that will enable a student to

understand mobile phone threats and how to

detect them.

Aircraft TSCM


This 2 day training module, trains the student in

how to carry out TSCM on an aircraft.

THIS MODULE TAKES PLACE AT OUR AIRCRAFT

WORKSHOP AND STUDENTS TRAIN ON A REAL

AIRCRAFT.

Verrimus are constantly updating our training courses and
