9. EASE OF OPERATION & ADJUSTMENTS

No difficulty was observed during the operation and adjustment of rotavator.

10. DEFECTS, BREAKDOWNS AND REPAIRS

No defect/breakdown and repair was occurred during entire period of field & lab tests.

11. SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS, COMMENTS AND

RECOMMENDATION

11.1 No ingress of dust and water/mud in primary reduction gear box,

secondary reduction gear box, and rotary axle bearing cap was

observed.

11.2 Provisions for breather cap and oil level dipstick in primary and secondary

gearbox are provided.

11.3 Parking stand & safety device are provided in rotavator.

11.4 Provision for drain plug should be provided in primary & secondary gear box.

11.5 The specification of implement hitch is not conforming in full to the IS 4468 (Pt-I):1997.

11.6 Dimensions of PIC yoke is conforming where as except specification of Ø d,

remaining specification in PIC is conforming to IS 4931:1995. This should be looked into for corrective action.

11.7 The hardness of rotor blades at edge and shank portion do not meet as per the requirement of IS 6690:1981. This should be looked into for corrective action.

11.8 Chemical composition of rotor blades do not meet the requirement of IS 6690:1981. This should be looked into for corrective action.

11.9 The applicant has declared tractor power as 50.3 Ps & above whereas in

labeling plate it is mentioned as 45-50 hp. This should be looked into for corrective action.

11.10 Most of parameters of labeling plate are declared as per IS requirement.

12.6 11.9 Corrective action taken on labeling plate & will introduce

from next lot.

12.7 11.11 Corrective action initiated. Other regional languages

preparation under progress, will provide the rotavator

manual with Hindi & other regional language to conform IS

8132:1999 (Reaffirmed 2004).
