Conair is a global beauty brand that wanted to extend an existing product line (that had 25% market share) in a mature market. The new product was very innovative for such a traditional category and COL's team were tasked with:

• How to educate the consumer on product differentiation within theproduct line.

• Determining what the most effective communications strategy was andwhat communication channels to use.

• Not harming what was working well. The existing products in the line weredoing exceptionally well already.

We built the solution in phases. We started by building a solid foundation - researching and developing the marketing brief. We then developed the marketing communications plan. Finally, we executed on the plan:

1. Created assets and copy for a variety of channels - social, digital, print - rangingfrom video to imagery.

2. Updated packaging for the entire product line to improve customer educationand ensure packaging was in-line with a larger Conair re-brand.

3. A full 360 marketing campaign that targeted a particular demographic - 19 to 34-year-old men. Highlights include:

a. Hosted a launch party where media, the fashion industry, and influencerscould learn about the product while having a great time.

b. Timed digital campaign to align with a key buying period - father's day.

• A successful product launch,increasing market share of the entireproduct line from 25% to 30%.

• Had over 75 guests appear at theevent.

NOUS is a fast growing, global, financial gaming app that wanted to create an effective customer service solution, which they could outsource whilst retaining a high degree of day-to-day input and control over. COL had to ensure that:

• All regulatory obligations were adhered to.• Quality was not adversely affected by outsourcing - it should be

improved.

• The solution could adapt to changes at the company as it grew.• The solution could deal with a variety of languages.

Additionally, it was imperative that COL build process(es) that worked within NOUS' company structure, priorities and resources available.

We interviewed key stakeholders to understand their ways of working and desired outcomes. We developed process maps, RACIs and SLAs. Finally, we put in place a team to manage the enquiries and trained and managed them.1. We defined all the processes that were necessary to process customer data,

conduct legally required checks, and approve/deny user applications to use thegame.

2. We ensured customers got a response within 24 hours and built a process thatensured the right people got the correct information, fast, where escalation wasnecessary.

3. Certifying the quality of information was equally important to the speed ofresponse. Therefore, to ensure that language was not an issue for a global userbase, nor for a multi-lingual customer service team based in Calcutta, weinstituted a check in the process to translate all enquiries and documents.

4. Throughout the project, COL also monitored reviews and social media fornegative comments and policy infringements.

• Improved customer satisfaction.

• Freed up resources within NOUS tofocus on growth activities.
