8.1 ADPma LLC

Formed in 2001, ADPma LLC is a leading manufacturing company that specializes in the design,

certification and manufacturing of precision aftermarket replacement parts for the commercial

aviation industry. ADPma goal to deliver more innovative and comprehensive PMA solutions to

airline operators and maintenance service providers. Since 2001, the company has received FAA

PMA approval to produce 335 parts, excluding PMA’s obtained through OEM license. ADPma’s

products directly support more than 35 major airlines in over 39 countries and nearly half of all

customers it support with PMA products are maintenance providers doing repair work for major

airlines and operators.

The following interview was conducted in January 2014. The interviewee from ADPma LLC,

Mr Tom Post, is the Director of Business Development.

Visiongain: Could you outline your background and your role with ADPma LLC?

Mr Tom Post: I am the Director of Business Development at ADPma, LLC, and I been placed in

current role for ten years now. I lead the business development organization of the company,

which is responsible for identifying candidates for FAA PMA product development and certification,

based on launch customer requisites and market trend analysis, aftermarket product marketing

and sales strategies, direct customer service and product management. I have 25 years of

experiences in commercial aviation industry. Prior to ADPma, I was with a major North America

airline in power plant engineering and supply chain management disciplines supporting primarily

engine, APU and thrust reverser MRO, fleet safety and reliability, and daily aircraft operations.

AAR provides aircraft overhaul and modifications, landing gear services, wheel and brake services and component repair for the world’s major, regional and cargo airlines, as well as for aircraft leasing companies and government/defence agencies, with facilities located throughout the United States.

Logistics and Parts Supply

AAR provides high-value parts-related services that include supply chain and inventory management, on-site warehouse management, consignment and lease-back programs, repair management, repairs and exchanges, as well as parts provisioning and parts trading. Additionally, AAR maintains one of the industry’s largest and most complete inventories of airframe parts, stocking new and serviceable components for virtually every commercial aircraft type.

Aerostructures & Manufacturing Services

AAR designs and manufactures cargo systems used on commercial cargo and military transport aircraft around the world. AAR holds 95 Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) with the FAA for the A300, A310, A330, B747, B767 and MD-11 commercial aircraft with systems for the B737, B757 and A320 currently in development.
