Managing your Commercial Card account is quick and easy when you call the Commercial Card Client Care Center. Our representatives are trained professionals, with an average tenure of five years on the team. They are equipped with the knowledge to answer all of your questions. Below are some common ones.

Q. My everyday duties stretch far beyond the management of our Commercial Card program, and the last thing I want to worry about is missing a payment. Is there a way I can set up automatic payments so I know we’ll always be on time?

A. Yes, we have many current customers who are set up for Auto Pay, which authorizes an ACH transaction on the scheduled payment date. Your program administrator can arrange such payments by calling the Client Care Center.

Q. Because of our large sales force, we seem to be inundated with statements for our various accounts each month. Is there an easier way for us to get our account information?

A. Yes, the Commercial Card department offers electronic bill presentment free of charge if you agree to discontinue your paper statements. So, in addition to making it easier to access your information, you’re also helping Commerce Bank’s green initiative to cut down on the amount of paper that we use. For more information on online account access and electronic bill presentment, please contact the Client Care Center.

Q. I recently made a payment to our account, but one of our cardholders is still getting declined due to lack of available credit. Why didn’t the payment apply?

A. If your account is set up for corporate billing, payments made prior to the account cycle date will affect only the corporate account balance and not individual credit availability. After the cycle date, individual balances reset to zero and their previous balances appear at the corporate account level. As a temporary solution for those cardholders who have reached their limits prior to the cycle date, the client may request a temporary increase of individual credit limits, provided there is available credit at the overall corporate account level. Your program administrator can make such a request by calling the Client Care Center.

Q. What’s the most convenient way to make requests and/or changes to my company’s account?

A. There are several easy methods from which to choose. Program administrators may send their requests via email to [email protected] or by fax at 816-760-7935. A represenative will respond to your written request within two business days. For immediate assistance, you can call our Client Care Center at 1-800-892-7104.

The Commercial Card Client Care Team can also help you deal with possible disputed charges. In the event your dispute can’t be resolved directly with the merchant, we follow procedures in accordance with Visa® and MasterCard®.

Notify Commerce Bank within 60 days after the first 1. statement on which the error occurred is sent.Provide as many details as possible regarding the item on 2. your statement that is in error.Include your account number, transaction date, merchant 3. name and the amount in dispute. Provide your daytime phone number, email address and 4. fax number.Indicate the reason for the dispute, i.e. duplicate charge, 5. unauthorized card use.

Commerce Bank typically applies a provisional credit on your account while the merchant has an opportunity to support the charge. Your response to the merchant’s rebuttal will be needed immediately in order for Commerce Bank to respond within the 45-day timeframe allowed by the card associations.
