1st

Lord of all truth, thank You

for the gift of the Bible which, over the centuries; has had a life-changing impact on a myriad of cultures and civilisations. We long for more people of the United Kingdom to reaffirm the authority of Scripture and to

recognise the blessing it can be in our lives. Amen

2nd

Pray for pastors, counsellors

and those with listening, prayer and support ministries to consult and increasingly depend upon God’s living Word – recognising how effectively it brings freedom, healing, comfort and peace.

3rd

Thanksgiving: two thousand

We thank Derek Bateman who has organised our notice board for the past twenty years. Ruth French is now organising this. It would be very helpful to let me know what you read from the notice table and what you like to see on it; and whether you prefer to read things in paper format

or on-line. Ruth French

AGM This is the time of year approaching our AGM we ask people to consider their role within LCC and prayerfully consider how they can use their gifts. At the AGM we appoint people to new roles such as deacons and review co-ordinating roles. Currently within LCC there is space to have more people serving as deacons. If you feel God is calling you to something then please speak to Susan or Dave.

Deacons Thank you to Sue Morgans who has served as a deacon for six years. Sue is now worshipping with her local church St. Paul's Church, Dorcan.

Howard is standing for re-election as a treasurer and Keith Saunders is considering standing again. Please speak to both of them and consider nominating them. For each person to be elected they need to be nominated by two people unrelated to each other and the nominee. Nominations must be made to Jenny by Sunday 29th May, the weekend this news sheet is distributed.
