Welcome to the “7th International Uniportal VATS

Course - Live Surgery, Drylab and Wetlab”. This is a

three-day-masterclass symposium under scientific

leadership of the Ernst von Bergmann, Human and

Medical University Potsdam and Academic Hospital of

the Humboldt-University Berlin Charité in Potsdam,

Germany together with the University Hospital Charité

in Berlin, Germany, the University Hospital in Coruña,

Spain and the Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital, Tongji

University Shanghai, China.

The first masterclass course took place in the year

2014 and has become the traditional course where all

experts in the field of uniportal VATS meet and ex-

change their experiences with participants from all over

the world. The course is now well established and pro-

vides training at the highest level. Our goal is to pro-

mote a non-dogmatic learning environment that brings

together people from different centers and schools of

thoracic surgery from all around the globe.

Whether you are an experienced surgeon or still in

training, this course will deepen your knowledge in Uni-

portal VATS.

This symposium will take place in Potsdam and will

address the “Limitless Potential in Thoracic Surgery” of

Uniportal VATS through lectures, discussions and vid-

eo sessions on the first day. The first part of the second

day will include Live Surgery of major pulmonary resec-

tions via Uniportal VATS, and the second part will be a

drylab (Lung model and ENB). The third day of this

symposium is a Hands-on class (Wetlab) for a limited

group.
