FINE FLOUR – Represents offering our best to God. It is about the obedience of Christ. Flour is beaten, like Jesus was beaten for us.
OIL - The oil was poured on the flour. Oil was used for anointing, preparing food, and as a light source. All three are represented in the sacrifice.
FRANKINCENSE – The incenses ascension and smell are important to God as pleasing aroma to the Lord. The incense is like our prayers.

The Lord’s PortionThe Lord’s Portion
Memorial Portion is an offering to God. (Leviticus 2: 1-3)
It is the best the worshipper can give.
The priest takes some of the fine flour and some oil and mixes it with all of the incense. This is for the Lord alone.
Man’s PortionMan’s PortionThe grain offering was mostly for man. (Leviticus 2:4-10)
The greater part of this offering was to be eaten for food by man for man. After God’s portion…“The rest of the grain offering belongs to Aaron and his sons…it is most holy”
Grain was God’s provision for mankind. So this sacrifice provides for the needs of man.
Christ as the Grain SacrificeChrist as the Grain Sacrifice
Philippians 2:5-11 “Instead He emptied Himself by assuming the form of a slave, taking on the likeness of men.” Hebrews 2:14-18 “He too shared in their humanity…For this reason he had to be made like them, fully human in every way.”
Christ presented Himself as mankind’s grain offering as the Son of Man which pleased God.
Christ was perfectly obedient (sinless) as the Son of Man - He is the best of man.
Christ was man’s portion for His fellow man, brotherand friend.
The reason we can be atoned from sin is becauseChrist become man.
