One month into the school year and so

much accomplished already. Thestudents have been working diligently

daily on the review of old concepts and

the introduction of new concepts. Ihave seen wonderful writing samples,fantastic motion and design cars,

various landforms, and of course,

learned the colors of the rainbow. Theclassrooms are constantly a buzz with

discussions, experiments and engaged

learning.

We have had some improvements on

the facilities side as well. We haveimproved the ramps to the mobile

units. Currently, there is a project inthe works to replace the Heating and

Air Conditioning units throughout theschool. This will help with the humiditythroughout the building.One of the greatest additions to our

school this year is the new &improvedCMTV. If you have not had a chance toview any of the shows yet, please view

is located on the left side of the

homepage. It is an easy and fun way toget a glimpse of the happenings of the

school and to meet the people who

work throughout the school.

I hope that October brings wonderfulthings to each of our Cox Mill families

BUS TIPS!

FROM MRS. JOHNSON

e often talk about getting on the bus and

e rules while riding the bus, but what

out when you are exiting the bus? Makere to follow the tips below as you get off

e bus in the mornings and afternoons.

XIT THE BUS:

When getting off the bus make sure

you walk (not run) three more

steps away from the door. Stay away

from the bus wheels and watch out

for moving cars!

Once you get off the bus, go straight

home so an adult will know whereyou are.

Only get on and off the bus at your

designated stop. Cabarrus County

Schools will not allow you to get off

the bus at a stop that is not your

assigned stop.

If you leave something on the bus,

never return to the bus to get it.

The driver may not see you come

back and they may begin moving the

bus. Also, if you drop something

near the bus, tell the bus driverbefore you attempt to pick it up, so

they will know where you are.
